Ok. Thanks. Any one else know?
Just updating that I’ve sold my stock FCIM radio/climate bezel (these are bought for those upgrading to a Sync3 system) and my stock airbag from my 16 which has cut the whole project by nearly half which is helping to make it worth it. Nothing else to really recover since there isn’t any market for stock 15-17 steering wheels.
Any idea if the FCIM from the 2018/19 101a/301a packages will work? It is sync 3 but no heated/cooled seat buttons.

I don’t know. All I do know is that an FCIM from a car with a heated wheel would work obviously, and an FCIM from a premium car without heated wheel because that’s the one I got. If you end up trying, let us know.

It's the module that is integral to the trim piece around the stereo, climate controls and start button. The picture in the first post above where the part number is given for it shows the whole unit as seen from the interior.

18+ Clockspring with Steering Wheel Control Module (SCCM) and heated wheel capable.
What is the difference in clocksprings and SCCM with or without heating?

If your car is a 2018 and up and has sync3 you are good to go on the FCIM.
You will have to upgrade your SCCM to the version that has the electronic connection built in for the heated wheel. An SCCM without it still has the connector but is not wired up.

Where did you grab the 12V?
It normally comes out of pin 16 at Terminal C2280A on the BCM and runs through a white wire. However in cars that are not equipped with the heated wheel it also comes out of pin 16 at C2280A but ends in Terminal C212 near the BCM.

Grabbed power from a switched fuse in the passenger footwell fuse box.

Add this to the write-up

Does the HSWM need a bracket like on the fusions? I haven't gotten under there to look where it goes, but looks like maybe the Mustangs don't need the bracket and it bolts right up to something under the dash?

There is a bracket that works for the hswm but not sure 15-17 has a spot to mount it correctly in the dash support. Mine was strapped and Velcro’d in the location near where the 18 and up mount theirs and without the bracket.

Mines is installed but not hooked in yet. Not sure where to get power and have not been well for a while.
Hope to finish it later this summer when I add the heated and cooled seats
If anyone can specify the source for power I would really appreciate it.

I'm getting ready to do mine too. I think any ignition switched power source should work. I'm going to look through the diagrams to find what will be the closest to tap into.
