Great looking car. Very tastefully done.
Good luck with the stock clutch and the 1/4 mile times!

Thanks and yeah it was the last track event in the area so I just wanted to see what would happen. Clutch is on the Christmas list or maybe Black Friday

Got a hell of a good deal on a clutch. Will get it put in hopefully within the next few days. Also got a set of BMR drag springs to help get rid of the camber from the Sportlines that’s currently on now.

Changing springs won't help much with your negative camber. I'm on voghtland 1 inch springs and have 6gr 5 wheels out back and even before I pit the springs on the negative camber was bad. They have a few options to help although if you have a good alignment shop out there then they might be able to fix that without replacing anything but this is what I'm going to buy so I can set the rear camber at ride height to 0

Correct. It won’t help much but the Sportlines are too extreme of a drop for what I’m trying to build the car for.

Appreciate it. Not my first choice but it has definitely grown on me.

Looking for some advice as far as suspension. Im moving away from the Sportlines and have the BMR drag springs at the house waiting for a nice day to install. Along with that im installing Vikings Warrior Triple Adjustable (SX) rear shocks (two lead time so still waiting for them to come in). Currently have BMRs IRS Subframe Braces and lockout kit. What else should i order to stiffen up the suspension? Vertical links, toe rods, camber arms are what im looking at currently but what about bushings? Shock mounts?

Shocks came in today. Going to take advantage of the nice weather tomorrow and put them in! Super excited to get these dialed in. Any suggestion on settings? Street? Track?

I have mine set at 3 compression and 6 rebound for the street , I'm told 6 compression and 9 rebound for the track . I've never had mine on the track though .

Update: Made a lot of changes recently. Big things were the Vikings shocks and the clutch. Prior to the clutch upgrade I went to the track and ran consistent 11.7s at 125-128s with a 2.3 60 barely launching it. Viking shocks were set at 6c5m9r. Difficult to dial settings with barely throttling it off the launch but i could tell it’s close to where I need it at from watching videos of my 1-2 shift where there wasn’t any radical movement of the rear end. This weekend I’ll be taking it to the track again hopefully to break into the 10s after breaking in the clutch for two weeks. It will definitely be a learning process to launch with a stiffer clutch and then once comfortable increasing rpm into the launch to get better 60’ times.

Ran a PB on the first pass. Terrible 60’ but 11.2 @134. Trap speed increased a solid 9 mph faster than last time. Either because of the new clutch or I turned off no lift shift.

Second pass, I had in my mind I’ll give it more rpm on the launch and slip the clutch. Didn’t turn out like how I imagined and ended up dumping the clutch which wasn’t the worst part. 60’ was a 1.7 but unfortunately broke the trans on the 2-3 shift. Ended up having no 3rd gear but the rest of the gears were fine and limped it home.

All in all, I felt it was success knowing I can trap at those speeds and that if I didn’t hurt the trans on the second run I could’ve broken into the 10s which was my goal for the year without doing anything under the hood. Called Ben Calimer and if I want to keep my clutch he suggests a Stage 3 rebuild. Looks like I’ll be selling some spare parts I have laying around the shed and save some money so that I can get her back on the track and meet my goal for the year.

Nice work. Those MT-82s are tricky it seems to keep alive. Car looks great.
