I was trying to figure out how I was going to get my track tires in the car without ruining the rear seat delete. So I decided to make my own rear seat delete that would act like a table top and be strong enough to hold the weight of the tires. The factory rear seat delete comes out fairly easy, just three bolts hold on. I cut up a piece of half-inch plywood to the approximate fit and wrapped it in some vinyl. You will need to screw in some blocks under the front edge of the plywood to avoid putting any weight on the thick cable. I did drill a hole in the center and used the same screw to keep it secure. I also made the back part out of thick cardboard, felt and vinyl. I thought I would use the back part to dampen the sound on the track but never did. The exhaust was loud, not overwhelming but awesome sounding. I attached a few pictures. I hope this might be useful to some and has not been posted before.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Last year, I saw a husband and wife team roll into Daytona with a small trailer on a P track car. That trailer had wheels/tires, supplies, you name it.

I'm fortunate enough that Im close enough to just load up and drive another vehicle with all the stuff I need there.

Good stuff! I used to haul my 275 R-comps to the track when I raced my STi. All four just barely fit in the back seat. I am chuckling to myself that the Shelby's tires are so wide, only three fit cross-wise. :)

Also - looks like you have a few Shelby related items on the floor next to your seat. Any good stories?

I would put two in the back seats, one in the trunk, and one in the front seat. I'd get the best looks on the highway on my way to my sites lol.

That room you see was supposed to be our TV room but my wife says I turned it into a Shelby Room! There is a poster there from a previous Shelby tribute show in Gardena which I will be going to soon. Also a buddy of mine gave me a signed picture of Carroll Shelby that they won in a silent auction. Lots of memorabilia and trophies that my 2007 Shelby GT/SC won. Unfortunately, I had to let her go to buy the new car.
