So I noticed that some people put these Shelby letters on their trunks:

    3113932eb638fd404b34b20e42b0be10.jpg
Which is from the 2007-2014 model:
    http://www.shelbystore.com/product-p/7r3z-6342528-b.htm
However, I had seen a picture of the GT350H and Super Snake and noticed that it comes with the letters in the trunk. However they're different:

And I have been looking for these. Nonetheless yesterday the Shelby store added them 2015-2017 rear Shelby letters:

I already bought them and are waiting for them to arrive. Just wanted to see what you guys thought and to let others who may be interested in them, about them.

    Seriously?

Is this what Carroll would want? I guess if people will pay to play barbie doll w their mustang, then take their money. Looks "stylish" but could come across as boy racer trying too hard.
Would Carroll more likely grab a body in white or used auction car cheap to strip down and figure out what could be made lighter and add power?
4130 cage/frame replacing mostly gutted unibody(preserve min mounting points), k member, rear subframe, oil/trans/diff coolers, gut interior, seats w 6 points, removable glass windows, net mounts, low/rear mount quick spool TT (750-800rwhp fine), 305 square for dangerous oversteer, air or hydraulic 20mm low speed lift so rich peeps can street their track car, etc... $80-100k
Anyone at Shelby run track days in a Mustang?

well, the 2007-2014 models had the letters in the first 2 pics, Carroll was alive until 2012... so it doesn't seem like he had a problem w/ letter in previous models...

Personally not interested in them, but that's no reason to act like an ass. I'm sure there are others who will be thankful that you pointed it out - they just might be too chicken to post for fear of being ridiculed by this crowd.

It's your car bro - if you like 'em, that's all that counts.

I've seen lots of people with them on the GT350 Owners Group on facebook. I think they look nice, but it's not for me. The main reason is because it's not how our Shelby's came from the factory and I like my cars looking "original".

But I'm not an absolute purist. I did add these Lloyd floor mats to give my car a little more "Shelby". :D

Badging, for whatever reason, is a touch subject. With one life to live - do whatever floats your boat.

Personally, I'm thankful for the minimalist theme on the recent GT350 and have little interest in what is already there let alone more.

They are too close to the spoiler. Looks like an afterthought. They may look better on an R since the spoiler is raised, but I wouldn't do it.

Not my thing, but I think they look ok. Of the two sets of letters I prefer the solid version without the stripes through them.

    Fair enough...
Carroll understood business, branding and making money on his legacy.
He also understood modifying cars and racing.

    Shelby Co report card:
    Branding: ?TBD
    Modding: ?TBD

I respect Carroll, just asking if Shelby Co has diluted/marginalized the brand. Look at the GTE, how many people tracking mustangs would buy and track one? 0. Why? Cause the first $18k wont help anyone turn faster laps. (Technically you might get 20hp for $18k)

    Google Shelby GTE for sale
Nothing says sucker like GTE: thats industry opinion, not mine. This is what the "new" Shelby brand represents by their own efforts.

Carroll could put together a group of guys, and they would create a unified package of their skills so they ALL could make money. Their output was COMPETITIVE #1 and had value for its performance, not for some stickers.
Mad respect for Carroll, but he didnt build a business, brand, or legacy with plastic letters or stickers alone.
I would feel like an arse selling chrome plated plastic lettering as being worthy of Carroll's legacy; I respect your opinion that I am an arse for providing an honest opinion in response to an enthusiast forum post seeking feedback on "SHELBY" product marketing.

Don't care for the way it looks personally. I think the car looks clean and mean the way it is, this just takes away from that IMO.

My tastes/ MY car .........Your tastes/ YOUR CAR!
That's really what it's all about, right?
Make it individually unique, personally pleasing to You!
We can all appreciate another's work . Leave her clean,
fully stock , OR mod the hell out of it! She's like a blank
canvas awaiting the artists' touch! ....However, everything
in balance. And remember:sometimes less IS more! :)

There's a badge on each side of the car, and rear. Two on the front. How many badges do you need?
