Has anybody seen anti matter blue in real life? How does it compare to Kona?

Few words: Quick Detailer and Microfiber.

Keep them in the trunk and use often!!
Abso-fricken-lutely and I would add a good duster to that

Ignore all the hype.
Its not a hard finish to maintain.

Just get a good sander w 360 grit and some rattle cans (canary yellow, metallic m&m blue, etc).
every week when you wash, sand down to primer and then rattle can a fresh coat on. Always start on the top side and sand a little less further each month.
try n hit bare metal just on top at least once a year and just rattle clear coat.
after 2 years the patina will be perfect.

Kona is nicer than Anti Matter, but still I always would have wanted a Too Good to Be Blue option on the Mustang.

I wish Ford Performance Blue was an option. Looks far better than the Kona (too Purple) and Velocity Blue (too light colored - reminds me of a Duke Blue in bright light).

Sure looks great on the GT350.

It has been a thing for a while
https://themustangsource.com/forums/f726/kona-blue-purple-484134/index3/

This guy restored a Nightmist Blue car and stated the following:

Kona Blue is nowhere near Nightmist. You have to consider the two colors are formulated with different paint chemistry. the original Nightmist Blue, I restored two of them back in the days with Lacquer and one with Enamel and it was a much darker blue with no real pop

Kona Blue has a purple metallic hue in the paint and makes it very bright. Kona Blue is a cool color but still not a fan, I prefer Grabber Blue.

So in terms of Pop they are on different spectrums.

No, not as bright purple as Deep Impact but it does have a dark purple in it.

These photos of Kona Blue don't scream purple to you?

All the darker areas look purplish to me. Only the bright spot looks blue.

Beautiful colour but you should talk to the guys with daily driven black Mustangs first and ask them how they enjoy the washing cycles.

Black/Dark mustangs are beautiful.... stunning even. I've owned a few black cars in my life. LOVE them. For about 7 seconds after you first wash/dry them then half way down the block you wish you had bought something lighter lol

I daily drive a lifted 23 F150 Black Widow. it is Ford Shadow Black. Before my BW I daily drove a black 19 F150 6” lift, 35” Fuel Wheels, a 14 F250 Blue Jeans, 2005 Suburban z71 black. My wife drives a 13 Land Cruiser we bought new, also black. I love dark colored cars and also love maintaining them. I don’t look at it in the least as work or a chore. The older I get, the more I enjoy doing anything and everything with my vehicles. The more time I spend working on and detailing my cars , trucks or boat, the less time I have to spend interacting with people. I go outside with my pups and we play and clean the cars. Watch “Darker Horse” that came out around the 50th….Gale H talks about washing a car….love that scene.

My F250 is Antimatter blue.... it is a very cool color, but you have to be in "just the right light/reflection" to see the very rich blue metallic flake. Otherwise, it looks black. Actually, just walking around it can appear blue or black depending on your view angle. I've never taken the truck to anyone and had them correctly call it "blue" - it is always listed as black. That said, I love my truck color - but as a truck, I dont worry too much when I drive it with some dirt/mud.

On the other side, I hate driving a "dirty car" (Mustang or my wife's BMW). I had a black mustang in the past (2002) and black looks awesome when clean, but I was always attempting to keep the dust off it. So with this one I'm thrilled with Ruby Red.... hides some of the dirt/dust and tends to look clean without as much effort.
