I just checked my 4 HF 3ton stands and they are not of these numbers. The pawl fully engages the rack.
Good to know since I was under my car with those about a year ago :cwl:

Went to Harbor Freight today. ALL Jack stands where pulled off the shelf for recall.

picked up a set of these with a 20% off coupon, Came out to $38.88

These are for my Truck . I already have Race Ramps for the Mustang. Love them but they're only rated at 1500lbs and not good enough for my 5500lb truck. Most of that truck weight is in the front.

Those are not as pricey as I thought. I do like the flat base and the large pin. Althong, by the time i buy 4, plus a jack, just wondering if a quickjack would be worth the cost.
I only got 2 as I rarely if ever see my car being up off all 4 wheels. Even for an engine, trans or rear end swap you only really need half of the car up.

Even if you get 4 of these and an $80 jack, you are right at $400 vs $1100+ for a QJ. Well worth it for someone working on their car often.

98% of stuff made today is junk. I guess these jack stands are part of the 98%

True, price wise the stands and new jack make much more sense. But a jack stand isn't near as sexy as a quickjack. "Hang on while I put the car up on jack stands" or "Lemme just throw this bad mofo up in the air real quick and we'll take a peek" .

A single pair of stands is probably in my future, as now she wants a camper. Ugh.

We actually have some, apparently Coronavirus isn't the only thing China exports really well.

I use a junk steelie rim and winter tire and put it beside my jack stand. so if the stand fails the rim should be able to hold the car up no problem.

Went to return the ones I had. Got $20 gift card. Could have sworn I paid more than that but oh well. The store I went to (the only one in the area) was all out of jack stands :frown:
Which ones did you return? I returned 4 6-ton models (61197) today and got an $85 card.

Makes me gland I spent the money on a good set of stands recently. Harbor freight stuff has its uses. Trusting them to support a 2 ton chunk of steel a few inches above my head is not one of them.

Do y0u have any pics of these in use under the stang? I'm considering a pair...

Not yet, as I just got them.

If you're wondering about size, they are not that much taller than a regular 3 ton jack. The minimum height is 13.5" but is much wider at the base and thicker beam.

I checked mine yesterday. I have Craftsman ones. I tried using them while building one of those wooden playset/swingset things yesterday. Junk. They had a hard time staying at the right height. Glad I wasn't underneath something with those.

Definitely going to be looking into something else. But now I have to rebuild the deck .....
