Hello All,

These questions are for those that have Hagerty or Grundy insurance on your cars.
  • Overall experience and satisfaction
  • Filing claims, easy or push back?
  • Pricing
The reason I ask, is there is a significant cost savings with Grundy versus Hagerty. A friend of mine has a Lightning with a guaranteed replacement value of 28K. He is 50 with a clean record, yearly cost from Hagerty 1K, Grundy $400. Apples to apples coverage.

I requested a quote from Hagerty for my 22 Mach 1 with a 70K replacement value, yearly cost 1K. Im also 50 with a clean record. I will contact Grundy today for a quote and reply to this thread.

Thanks for any information good or bad, and anything above my 3 bullet points.

I currently have several vehicles insured with Hagerty, including my '15. I haven't found better pricing with agreed values and zero deductible. No complaints on these aspects.

However, I haven't had to file a claim in the many years I've insured through them. With any luck I will never need to.

I have been using Heacock Insurance/American Modern Property & Casualty.
1- They were significantly less than either Grundy or Hagerty, although both of them were similar in price.
2- They are an "official" partner of the Mustang Club (MCA)
3- I unfortunately had a claim last year due to forgetting to properly close my hood after unhooking the trickle charger. The hood flew up & had to be replaced, etc. Heacock handled it promptly & paid for everything (about $5k), no questions asked & no change in premium for the following year.
4- I would definitely recommend them. I pay approx $500/yr for $50k agreed coverage on my 2013 Mustang GT Convertible & will use them for my 2022 when it arrives.

I have Hagerty and have a 2020 GT PP2 (agreed value $45K) and a 1982 Chevy K10 (agreed value $6500) and I pay $833 a year. 36 year old male, no accident history. I'm very happy with my rate.

Great thread, thanks for the info. When the '22 comes in I'll hit these guys up. Perfect driving record, and I pay $1,800 a year for just the Mustang. Michigan has the worst rates (and roads) in the country, it's robbery.

I hope we will get more responses, so the members know what companies are out there for comparative rates.

I have Grundy on my'19 Roush Stage 3.
I had them for my '13 Roush Stage 3 as well. Never any issues. I never had to file a claim.

I forget what it was for the 2013 car per year, but for my current Mustang, I am paying $588 a year for an agreed value of 50k.
I cannot drive the car to work or the mall, which is fine, I never would anyways. Must be garaged when not in use. Unlimited mileage. Must have a daily driver. That was what was in my contract being in MA. A friend that has Grundy in Texas says he can drive his car to work/mall. Maybe it differs from state to state? Not sure.

I used Hagerty for my '63 C2 excellent company! They have a very narrow acceptability window.

Grundy, but my vehicles insured with them are
47,51,36,45 years young I don't have my dailies with them, (aka late models) And never have had to file a claim.
But the cost was lower than hagery .
Also Hagery would not insure a few as they saw them as race cars not street cars.
