Not driving the car at 100% and keeping distance from cars was enough in my eye.

I do want harnesses though, the seatbelts don't do enough to hold you in firmly at the track. I am getting Schroth harnesses before my next event.
that's a perspective worth reconsidering.

Crap happens at the track.

What tire pressures and camber settings did you settle on after your HPDE at Daytona?

Chin is good too, but they charge an annual membership fee, and they don't do Daytona.

PDG does Daytona in October every year.

Hooked on Driving is going to Daytona in December, but it's $150 more per day than PDG, and the event is shared with the Audi club.
That is when I am taking my GT350 to Daytona!!

Only a few more weeks.

Fwiw, Ford uses stock pads in the GT350s at their Ford Racing School in Utah, and during development, the stock pads didn't fade with professional drivers testing the car.
I did the Track Attack and agree that they run stock pads. I did 3 track days at High Plains Raceway east of Denver and never experienced any fade. I hit 130 on the back straight which ends in a 55-60 drop off turn. I find the stock pads have enough bight to get into the ABS easily, and I have never felt any fade. I'm going to try G-LOC R12s, mainly just to see the difference.

Let us know how the G-LOCs work out... the stock pads (supplied by Ferodo) are good but once you push your car harder/faster lap after lap the track-specific compounds are better. It'll come with more track time and experience... all of us are included here. They'll bite sooner and be more consistent including when threshold braking, i.e. braking late in corners.
