Had enough of aftermarket CAI & HIGH IAT's. So here's my fix.

Had to go look. Interesting. Personally I prefer a short ram intake. But if it's not to stupid expensive I'd buy one 'just to see'.

PMAS also has plans to make an "Over The Radiator" version for Cobra Jet intakes. I am interested in the data from either of the PMAS redesigns. I am not a current PMAS owner, I use the Steeda Closed-Box with my Cobra Jet and am totally fine with it and the IATs are as good as it gets.

I may upgrade to the new version once I see how well it turns out and fits.

That design is very close to KellTrac’s home brewed Whipple CAI he posted up awhile back.

Well like I said. I like short ram intakes. IMO if IAT are relatively the same, his extended PMAS is leaving power on the table. And Im pretty sure the tune would have ro change based solely on MAF placement.

I’d definitely have to see the data on it after some real world testing. In addition to fit and finish, there would have to be a performance improvement, in order for me to make the change.

So my Edelbrock SC came with the Airraid intake. The top of the intake gets pretty warm to the touch. I'm wondering if better hood vents would take some heat out of the whole engine compartment...?

I cant find images of it anymore but there was someone selling an intake that put the filter just behind the radiator or just over it and the intake tube ran straight back to the throttle body.

I shopped up a graphic of how it looked.

Huh? Nothing gets turned off with a CAI.

Yeah but you'll have to tilt the rad back (like a vette) and cut out part of the plastic under support for the nose. Pass.
