Finally got around to this... Stock manifolds/cats and Pypes muffler deletes were used for both. Unfortunately looking back, the H-pipe videos were made with a tune from a different vendor using 91 (different cold start RPM range) while the X-pipe videos were made with Lund's E85 tune and a JMS PedalMAX. Either way, enjoy.

I was going to try a third setup, the H-pipe with two glasspacks on it, but decided against it since I have a full 3" exhaust on the way thanks to Terry @beefcake ! SP O/R headers and SW 3" cat-back. I'll add that in when it is here and on the car, too.

The YouTube description has timing marks!

Very nice! I feel like the cars seem to Rev faster with an x-pipe. It's probably an illusion because of the extra rasp.

Different tune plus PedalMAX on the X-pipe videos, unfortunately I didn't test the H-pipe to the same conditions.

When I went to an xpipe from the stock resonator, it seemed to rev faster.

X-pipe for sure. Sounds much meaner and more aggressive.

Which do you prefer?
I've been thinking about deleting my resonator and replacing it with H-Pipe.
I know that the X-pipe is more beneficial as far as scavenging/performance is concerned, but I would be doing this for sound purpose only.
I really enjoy the old-schoolish burble on the car with the H-pipe.
Which is quieter or louder in your opinion? I'm only trying to turn the volume up a little bit.

I preferred the H-pipe, and that is what I ordered my Stainless Works cat-back with. The X-pipe does seem to be more liked, however. I don't think there is noticeable difference in volume between the two, at least not with the Pype's muffler deletes.

I'm a bit conflicted. I prefer the sound of the H-pipe at idle, but the X-pipe at revs. I guess I'm leaning toward an X-pipe since even the loudest systems are fairly quiet at idle/highway speed, plus I track it occasionally and would benefit from the improved flow.

OP you'll love your new setup, I'm running the full 3inch SW headers no cats to SW catback with H..sounds brutal.

You were using the Pypes-Bomb axle back along with the X/H pipe?

Thanks so much for the video!
