She found the "other" credit card?
It was more of a "WHEN WILL IT STOP?"

I assume she didn't like my "I think that train left the station 6 months ago" response. We're taking the rest of 2019 cautiously :) Got big plans for 2020, though

Will this void a warranty?

I didn't realize there were two different cranks? A 90 and a 180?
The 90 degree crank is in the 5.2 cross plane crank and the 180 degree crank is in the 5.2 flat plane crank in our cars.

Depends entirely on what you need warranty repairs on. For example, if your radio goes out, Ford would have a hard time blaming that failure on a set of aftermarket cams...

Most definitely.
Figured, o well.

ya, I’m concerned about that $35k lump in there I so often rev to 8250 rpm is the issue though...

Would like to see HP and torque curves and what the peak numbers are. I mean statements like keeping the torque below 5,000 rpm and increasing HP above that without numbers does not tell us anything, except that perhaps we could get maybe 5hp and 5 foot pound torque. Agree with Nastang this would be a great alternative to increase HP without the weight associated with blower.

Duh, didn't catch that the other one said cross, not flat. Thanks.

No extra lift. Interesting.

the duration will help, but I’m worried it’ll be +20hp at 8500rpm where the stock cam will
Never live. Sort of like putting a gt350 intake manifold on a coyote and saying +20hp at 7800.

does that make sense??

I'm thinking you're right. Power went flat for me at 7700 RPM. The valve train is good to spin over 9k, but power just isn't there so we keep it lower. These will likely be a great upgrade for those with upgrade valve trains. But $1.9K is steep for +20 hp high in the power band for most.

Is the stock lift limited by valve strike clearance?

No. When the valves are fully open the piston isn't near them.
I'm hardly an expert, but I thought I understood the piston to be closest to the valves just before and just after TDC of the exhaust stroke, hence the use of valve pocketing on the cylinders of the higher compression engines. I've read valve to piston clearance will usually be about 0.080" to 0.100" during that phase?
Here's a 5.2 block custom build, mentioning checking piston to valve clearance while setting the timing of the cams:
https://www.racepagesdigital.com/st...ences-stocker-5-2-liter-coyote-engine-builds/
And Shaun from AED talking about avoiding valve strike when changing the timing on the older gen GT coyote's:

VMP recently did a talk with Comp Cams. They basically said lift has its diminishing returns plus can get hard on valvetrain and duration becomes much more important.
