17' Shelby GT350
Got the invite about two week ago. Two days later I got the confirmation i'm in! Just got the itinerary yesterday. Not sure how they came up with the list either but would be interested to know if anyone finds out. I bought a new 17' in April of 2018 and did the 1 day ford race school in Utah last July. Autobahn is only 1 1/2 from me. Can't wait!

See you there. Iā€™m coming from Indiana about 2 hours out. If the weather looks good Iā€™ll make in 1.5, Iā€™ll drive the 500 in! Lol

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
I gave up my slot to this event after being confirmed, so, youā€™re welcome! I have tracked the 350 here and itā€™s a decent road course. Iā€™m sure you will be on the North course only, which is short.
Unfortunately, the seat time at these events is also usually short. Have fun!

I got denied and was told there was a 100 deep waitlist.......even at my autobahn trackday the president couldnt get me in lol

Good time yesterday.
No where near the thrust of my 2014 GT500, but that was expected. The brakes, DCT, Handling, refinement all VERY impressive, basically in that order.
I loved the 350R on track a few years back, but this is much faster on any course.
Only bummer was the drag strip portion didnā€™t happen as Route 66 Dragway is closed.
This is definitely not a drag car, so I wonā€™t be modifying it as such.
I donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever uploaded pics on here but Iā€™m trying.

This was my main date for the day, I may have snuck out for a second lead follow as the first time the last guy was slower so we didnā€™t push as hard. Did 2 lead follows in a Performance Blue CFTP and a hot lap in the black CFTP. Absolutely amazed with the performance lap after lap in 90* heat.
I also gave my ā€˜14 the business when I got home. The glass roof, real manual and live rear axle with the big stroke big block-like 5.8 will go down as one of the absolute legends, but Iā€™m happy to see progress and feel lucky to have an allocation for a ā€˜21. Itā€™s actually a better car but for different purposes.

Was there as well. Driving portion was underwhelming to say the least. Only could go as fast as the guy behind the instructor. Understand the liability of letting us go all out but this event was definitely missing that. Being a passenger with the instructor was great. Breakes on the 500 are amazing considering how heavy it is. The chief engineer of the 500 was in my session. Not as a worker but a customer. Went through everything we did but did share some cool stories along the way. Overall a great experience but unfortunately not great enough to make me consider getting rid of the 350 for a 500.

His name was Todd, but I canā€™t recall his last name.

He drove his Heritage spec Ford GT from Detroit, probably the baddest car on the property was parked out near my Ram.
As above, he was just there as a customer to have the experience.
I believe heā€™s leading engineer in for Mach E in China now?
