Agreed! You should see how much they want for composite strut brace!that's just appalling
Thanks I looked at mine this past weekend after reading about the dot and it didn't look like it aligned on mine either.By the way the block decal dot on the underside of the hood does not line up with the cutout in the carbon fiber radiator support and should not be used as a guid for installation. Not sure what the black dot is for?
more to come.

That's what a couple of us mentioned a few back. My mid '17 has them, so clearly unrelated. Thanks I looked at mine this past weekend after reading about the dot and it didn't look like it aligned on mine either.
When you really look at it, there are actually 3-4 good places to mount the latch. I wanted to to be as far forward on the hood as possible. The cut out location is actually the best but the access to mount the latch base in that location is difficult as the underside of the cutout can't be accessed without modification or removing the radiator bracket ( which means removing the bumper cover and all). I told the installer not to go to that extreme and am anxious to see what he comes up with. The shop I am using is excellent and I have a great deal of experience with them on two prior Porsche restoration projects (1988 Carerra, 1989 964 C4) and my last Cayman R track build. They are creative , always do it right, and have great fabrication capabilities if required. Thanks I looked at mine this past weekend after reading about the dot and it didn't look like it aligned on mine either.
It really isn't difficult to pull the bumper off if that helps. I can probably do it in about 25 minutes. The Gt and ecoboost guys do it all the time. S550 is pretty simple there. When you really look at it, there are actually 3-4 good places to mount the latch. I wanted to to be as far forward on the hood as possible. we will see.
The GT500 part includes the pins and small hardware. KR3Z-8A284-A is the number. No, this is the part they're putting on the 2019+ GT350 and it does have the cutouts for the hood pins just like on the 500; I just called ford parts to ask. The 2020 500 has a diff part number it looks like and is much more expensive. I don't know why. Honestly if I could find this on a wrecked car that would be ideal.
Hey thanks. That’s good info. 1300 bucks and includes everything. Will this indeed fit the 350?The GT500 part includes the pins and small hardware. KR3Z-8A284-A is the number.
$1364 at tasca!FWIW, it's cheaper to order parts directly through a dealer than from Fordparts even using the same dealer (shipping is cheap though). The GT500 cross member can be had for about $1430. from a dealer as opposed to $1730. thru Fordparts.
I believe so, but can't say for certain. As the current GT350 reinforcement has the indents for the pins, it's assumed they are the same. I usually check different dealers, shipping can vary quite a bit. Last time I used https://www.lascoautoparts.com/Hey thanks. That’s good info. 1300 bucks and includes everything.
