I am going to use long stainless screws to go through the under side of the carbon pocket at that location. I tried to order the screws from FORD but couldn't. Here is the part number. maybe you will have better luck. I have attached the part sheet. The screw is HB3.
Hey rick I have the part # of the screws need to hold stainless ballend down but they must have some kind of nut/clip assembly that uses the square holes in the support. It will be very hard to access nuts on the bottom side of the radiator support. Here is the bolt #

Thanks. I may just drill through therbottom of the carbon fiber support at that location and use long Stainless crews to secure it. Not sure until I speak to the guys at the shop. I also don't have a reply yet from Ford if the bottom GT500 latch piece is long enough to seat in the top latch piece on the hood. If not then we will just cut a circular plate to fit the grill support, use the adjustable pins that come with the QL 50 kit and adjust accordingly. I am taking it in. on Tuesday and will let you know what works.

Right on bro! Please keep me in the loop as I will do the same with my application of the 500 hood on the 350.

Anyone have the part number for the 2019+ radiator support with the pin holes?

I just looked on my mid year ā€˜17 and it had the black stickers marking the under side of the hood. Not really sure what thatā€™s for because I clearly donā€™t have the radiator support premade for the pins.

Here it is, and it's only $2000!

I show that its $670 bucks for the rad brace...is this not it? Not cheap but I like this much better than the using the FP350 pins that place the release too high up in my opinion (purely aesthetics related).
  • Manufacturer:Ford
  • Part Number:FR3Z-8A284-D
  • Part:Upper Tie Bar
  • Replaces:FR3Z-8A284-C

This is the old style that you have already. Need to update to 2020 mustang gt500 to get correct part. I just went thru ford.com parts
No, this is the part they're putting on the 2019+ GT350 and it does have the cutouts for the hood pins just like on the 500; I just called ford parts to ask. The 2020 500 has a diff part number it looks like and is much more expensive. I don't know why. Honestly if I could find this on a wrecked car that would be ideal.

That's awesome! The whole pin setup from ford is very expensive too! If you could reach out to whomever you talked to at ford I cant find the assembly that goes into radiator support to hold part# 16k689 in place. Checked with dealer here, tried to chat online with ford.com and numerous emails with ford performance tech and no one can find it, all say deadend!!!!
