Why not patiently look for a GT500 cat back take off? I found one for $120 but $500 seems to be the going rate. Then pick up the GT500/Mach1 rear diffuser. A little research, ie googling, can save you a lot of money.

Be aware though the GT500 pipe dia is 2.75”, Mach1 is 2.25”, not sure about GT would guess same as Mach.

Thanks for the tip. Is the gt500 take off the same as what's on the Mach 1. I also have a roush h pipe resonator delete and don't know how/if that will work with a gt500 takeoff. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

GT500 is 2.75” diameter piping and 5” tips. Mach 1 tips are 4.5” and I think they also get the 2.75” diameter pipes but not 100% sure on that. GT has 2.5” diameter pipes and 4” tips

I was able to find a 2020 GT500 cat back take off within a few hours drive. Does any know if this will bolt on to a 2018 GT without additional mods or adapters? And any comments on how a GT500 x pipe exhaust sounds vs a stock 2018 GT. I currently have a roush h pipe resonator delete and like the sound, but I probably wouldn't put that on the GT500 exhaust if I get that.

I see now the exhaust pipe diameters are different sizes and this won't be a simple bolt on.

I’d get some 2.25 inch od to 2.75 inch id adapters on Amazon or eBay and cut a little bit of the GT500 exhaust. Also the Mach 1 exhaust will come with the same suit case resonator that’s on the GT. The GT500 exhaust will come with an x pipe with resonators just behind it. There was one guy I saw on youtube with a full GT500 exhaust. I’ll post the link.

Thank you. I didn't realize the gt500 exhaust also had a resonator. I thought it was an x pipe, then regular pipe straight to the mufflers. I already have an h pipe with resonator delete, so I suppose I could cut the x pipe and resonators out of the gt500 exhaust, and use adapters to size up from the GT pipe size to the GT500 size.

Yes, they’re just bullet style resonators, just behind the X pipe.

I know there not as good as the GT500 / Mach 1 tips, but the stock tips can scrub OK / better than Ford supply them :like:

That is actually a much better-looking tip, changed AE for Roush axel backs. . If I were king I would have preferred the slash cuts. Razor-sharp exhaust tips what a pussy.

I ordered from my local Ford dealer in Cranston Rhode Island but they're actually getting it from a third party. And I just called the Ford accessories line again today and they still know nothing about when it might come in. They referred me to Ford performance parts which previously told me not to expect anything until after the first of the year. And so I continue to wait
Well I'm happy to say my kit finally came in. Nearly 3 full months from the order date. Haven't installed it het, and there are no instructions, but it looks pretty simple other than trying to figure out where the tons of bolts, screws and push pins fit.
