Hi All,

Does anyone happen to know what the new, unused brake pad material thickness of the OEM GT500 brake pad is (fronts in particular)? I failed to measure mine before the first track weekend and am trying to get an idea of what my mm burn rate is per track day on this car. Thanks!

Measured a new OEM set of front brake pads and they are 16.4mm - 6.2mm (backing plate) = 10mm for the surface.

I’ve lost track of how many events I had over the past 2 years; all but one at COTA. I measured mine after the last event and they aren’t 1/3 gone yet. Most impressive.
That’s why I knew the measurements on the OEM set I have on the shelf. Had to measure twice to make sure!

Same kinda thing here! Our 500 has had 4 solid track days on it and my last pad measurement showed a hair over 9mm left...I knew pads on the GT/Mach 1 were 10mm thick when new and wasn't convinced the 500 pads had such minimal wear down.

For perspective, I am using up about 1-2mm of brake pad on the Mach 1 each track weekend.
