Had a few guys ask me if the PYTHON GT500 hood vent I’m building would work on the GT350. Here is a good visual of why it won’t, and just how big it is compared to the 350.

I really can’t see retrofitting this GT500 vent onto anything due to its size and curvature.

Would you make one for the GT350? I know there are other aftermarket ones, but none in CF that I know of

Would see it would be 1 or 2 fins. Would have to get the angles right and I'm sure the fins would be a lot shorter in nature...

Not necessarily. There are already other options for the 350, but they require to cut the hood. This would have to be the same.

@09cs That is very true, but those options are either generic or built to the contours of the GT350 hood. How much different is the GT350/R hood to the GT500 hood? (I'm not sure, I'm asking...)

Also this piece uses the parts from the stock GT500 vent and bolts into the stock location and has the ability of using the rain tray. I would say it would be a good amount of fab to take this on, if that is what you were willing to do. Don't get me wrong, I very much like the piece and would think it would look awesome, and if I somehow end up getting a GT500, @50 Deep , I would be buying in a heart beat. :sunglasses:

However, back to my previous comment, if you were wanting that style to fit into the stock location with no modifications, it would be smaller with 1 to 2 fins...

I put outdoor mats on my garage floor. Poor mans race flooring.

Not talking about using this exact one, but making one to fit the contoures of the 350 hood

I agree 👍it really looks out of place. Just my honest opinion.

Any word on this project? Anyone know of a GT500 replica hood vent with rain tray that is in the market? For the GT 350 hood

I could do something with enough interest. It would be a bit of work though.

Let's see who all might want in.
