Haha, yes Ill make more, the 98k for my base is already a stretch. Thank you alimony!! Id rather a base Gt500 now and then a R or the new Supra in 2 years as well.

Ill leave the CFTP to the real track racers.

Per corner.. over the 500s 20s, which are heavier than the 350s 19s

I would have never guessed that 20 wheels vs 20 CF wheels would be 140 lbs, but 19 wheels vs 19 CF wheels are only 60 lbs difference.....that is simply amazing

It was significant when i held them. Made me realize i absolutely need aftermarket lighter 20s for street use.

Ill Google the actual tire weight differences as well, but i know the base tires are the lightest available 20 , 21lbs iirc

Heavier wheels are better for street use. In the real world with potholes you need a tough wheel.

I suspect thats the reason fords regular performance pack wheels are as heavy as they are, they will take alot of abuse...

does anybody have a estimate of 20 wheel weights in general.... CF weighs X, Stock wheel weighs X, aftermarket forged weighs X, are the CF wheels just that light or are the stock 20 just that heavy?

Curious about this as well. 35lbs seems like an awful lot when the difference on the GT350 is only about 15lbs.

Has this information been published anywhere else?

they are really trying to push that moniker.
I think it’s to give the idea that somehow it’s unfair to the c8.

in reality, it’s a z51 equivalent. Just faster.

when the KR is out, they can call it the R or whatever they want.

as it is, the world has its hands full with the debut GT500. Kicking behinds and taking names.
Poor MT can’t comprehend it. So it must be the “R” model. LOL.

kind of disingenuous to make it in their article and run with it as though it’s the official name.

I hope so, I already have my custom licence plate that reflects your sentiment. I'm surprised it was available.

Again, its the difference between GT500 20" CF wheels, and Base wheels.

If someone posts the Gt350 19" wheel wights, it should give you a better idea. I dont know what "average" 20" wheels weight, realistically, no one buys 20" "performance" wheels, they would always be bling and not concerned about weight
