GT350R - Suspension Spacers issue - HELP

Hey guys,

Took delivery of my car yesterday, in my rush to get on the road to head to our destination I forgot to check whether they removed the suspension spacers used during transport. Thanks to an observant member on here who pointed out that the car looked a little high, I've found that they forgot to remove the rear spacers....

Meanwhile, I drove almost 300kms with these spacers in, and have the same distance back to them if they have to remove it. I do not know specifically, but I thought I remembered reading that the suspension would have to be recalibrated if this were to happen? Can anyone possibly confirm this to be true? I need to know whether the car will be at the dealer for any length of time, because if so, I will not make it in time for the boat back to my province Monday night, and therefore have to reschedule and book extra hotels...

Hopefully I am wrong, but if a recalibration is needed, I will say I will be a bit disappointed, especially after I gave them the heads up and specifically mentioned that they must be removed...

I had the same thing happen and all I did was pull the spacers. No recal needed. At least that is what I did and everything works like a champ.

Right, I believe that a recal is only needed if you receive an error message.

Really hope that is the case, if so I can bring it to the local dealer Monday where we are staying on holiday rather than going all the way back to the dealer I picked it up from.

any dealer should be able to perform a re-calibration if required. The dealer removing them should check the PDI check list to see what they need to do after pulling the spacers.

That said, people on the board have pulled their spacers at home just fine.

Appreciate the advice man, so the spacers can be removed without having the car in the air? I assumed that the suspension would have to be unloaded completely to get the spacers out?

I have approx. an 1100 mile drive back home, so definitely don't want to wait until then. Have to get them removed Monday before I head out.

no, suspension needs to be at full droop for them to come out. So they'll toss it on a lift real quick. Also removing the rear wheels for clearance will be nice.

I can't say for sure but there was a thread about this several months ago and if I remember correctly the calibration was part of the PDI and it has to be placed on a lift with the front tires hanging down.

Your car did come with Locking Lug Nuts. It's in a bag with your Floor mats in your trunk. Please put them on if they are not on already.

Sounded from your post that your on a road trip, and if you stay the night in a Hotel, I would hate to see you lose those exotic wheels if you left the car out over night somewhere.

Yeah that's what I read too, or I thought I did. Problem is it seems like nobody on here or the dealer themselves knows for like 100% certain :( so I don't even know what needs to be or should be done at this point, hoping I can just have them removed and be done with it.

I honestly didn't notice if they had installed locking lugs on the car or not man, though I know there were none in the bag with my floor mats.

I am on holidays, but the car is with a guy installint a full XPEL wrap over the weekend, so I'm in a rental until Monday, unfortunately haha

Appreciate the heads up though, I'ma check when I pick it back up to see if the locking lugs are there or not.

The other one did. If I remember right you can remove the blocks and drive it this way, just not going to be ideal. If you have issues, they Take it to Avalon Ford when home to Calibrate.
If going to Taylor Ford Monday to remove as them, they are not an SVT dealer, but top guy should be able to do this work.

Appreciate it TR, thanks for clarifying man. Should I go to Taylor tomorrow to have them removed, or would it cause any possible damage driving back to Dartmouth with them in to have them remove them and just do the recalibration all the same time? Do you know how long it takes to do the recalibration?

Would like to be able to have everything sorted before I start the road trip back home, and not have to make an appointment with my local dealer if possible.
