The picture I posted of the black R earlier with manufacturer plates was from the Track Tour in 2016.

Howdy Fred - this oughta help..... somewhat of a build thread on your car posted by Terrance (@50 Deep) over on TrackMustangsOnline.

By the way - check out post #8 for details on how to open that trunk.... hood push buttons hidden in the rear wing mounting pads.

Edited to add..... and here's the link to the same topic posted by him here at 6G....

Thank you. Clever trunk latch. I thought they were attach points for the wing.šŸ˜…

My wife was able to attend the track tour in Sebring back then - She was able to drive a 350R before I was..in fact, I didn't drive one until I took delivery of my car.

I believe this was the black car that she got a ride in. She was extra excited, as black is her favorite color and it just worked out that way.
that's a special wife you have :-)

Havenā€™t been on here in a while but just saw this post. I think I was next in line to get that car. It was the featured car in the showroom if any of you ever went to track attack in Utah.

It was a track mule I believe for their drivers. Itā€™s a 1 of 1. They didnā€™t have any documented info on how many hours it was used on track.

I believe itā€™s a pre-production model too.

the only thing that scared me was the small crack in the engine block. I was told by a friend that itā€™s fixable but cannot remember where the gentleman on the phone said it was located.

itā€™s a lovely car though. You got a great one!

We are Super excited about the car. Ford performance school was really good to deal with during the purchase process.
They mentioned the crack and told me where to look for it.
Definitely a pre production car. PP004 on dash plate. VIN is a May 2015 build. Looking forward to spring. First track day should be in April.
