Maybe I'm missing something or things have changed. When going from a 19" wheel to a 20" wheel, don't you go with a smaller sidewall to keep the diameter of the tire the same? How I used to do it at least. If the tire diameter is the same it isn't going to fill up the wheel well any more or change the ride height.

I realize it isn't exact. Your example would be a 1/4" difference, not even noticeable. I don't understand some people saying to get bigger wheels to fill the gap. It doesn't work that way.

I'm with you. Whenever I went to a bigger wheel I'd always account for the tire size and go with a lower profile tire to keep the overall diameter as close to stock as possible.

A taller wheel with a lower tire sidewall only attempts to mirror the stock tire height. This is good if you want to keep speedometer consistency.

However, if youā€™re looking to fill a wheelwell and decrease gap, you have to use a taller sidewall. As you can see from the example above, an increase in wheel diameter with retained tire aspects, only a diameter change, yields a change in circumference of +3.2ā€.

Now, of course, wheel width will play into the change to the height of the sidewall as well, but overall, this is the way to go to fill in the wheelwell without changing the springs.

Fellaā€™s...I appreciate all the help, I really do, but I understand wheel/tire comboā€™s and how to eliminate gap without changing springs. Thatā€™s not what Iā€™m looking for.

The purpose of this thread is to see if any other R owners installed Steedaā€™s lowering springs and would have any pics. :)

Please donā€™t take this post the wrong way, just trying to keep the thread on topic. Thanks!

I seem to recall a bunch of guys installed the FP springs a while back and that lowered the car significantly. Might want to search that?

Why Steeda springs in particular?
I've looked at FP, Eibach, Steeda and a few others. Steeda is the one that drops it an inch. FP is less than that and Eibach is more than that. So that's why I'm searching for Steeda and pics of an R with them. Plus taking into account the spring rates of each.

Love them!!
The cool thing with this pic is my brother has an AG-R almost identical to yours except his has the stripes over the roof. He's the reason I ended up buying mine. Just haven't had a chance to get together and take some pics.

Here's the 3 of the Rs together before I traded the TY in for the CFTP
