Yeah after seeing this thread this morning I emailed my dealer. I had plans of powdercoating but ordering them will steamline the process.. I'll probably even have the dealer do them (especially since I got MSRP)

I'm very up in the air about this. Down time vs cost of new ones already done. I wanted to coat mine DIB to match the stripes instead of red like the R. The R swap is getting expensive though.

Anyone looking to get these at close to cost should go through autonation white bear. They are a vendor on SVTP and all the pricing on their online store is already reduced.

Voodoo, what brake fluid are you planning to use when you to the caliper swap? OEM or aftermarket?

I like amsoil or Motul. I'll post a how to with torque specs when I do the calipers. I'm waiting on my Forgeline GA1R wheels to arrive and I'm also going to replace the plastic clutch line with the FRPP M-7512-B I will also be using Carbotech XP20-24 front pads and XP12-20 rear pads. Just waiting for them to be released before I tear it all apart. I just finished install the ARH long tubes and off road X pipes. Ran into a little snag with the mid pipes. Should be finished by Friday. Just waiting.

I like Amsoil as well, always had great results with their products. Certainly provide a how to when you are finished. Sorry to hear about the snag, just an "opportunity" right? ;-)

This is what I use in all of my track cars, as well as many other track guys I know - have used cheaper and more expensive. Pricey, but good. Wet boiling point is the most important thing to look at.

Just ordered mine.. new to this area and I couldn't find a shop I trust to powdercoat on top of my busy schedule so hopefully they'll be in by next weekend.

I hear the GT350 pads are wicked dusty...on track or street or Both? Just curious how the red calipers will hold up over time. Love the look tho.

I had them coated with Ceramic Pro before having them installed. The dust doesn't build up as much and makes them easy to clean with a rinse and a wipe. Ceramic Pro is super hydrophobic, makes it hard for anything to stick to it.

They are the same. Not sure what the cost of painting would be, but the total cost of the calipers was not too bad. Also, my brother had a Z06 that he had the calipers painted and it cause the brakes to seize. Not sure why, but I didn't want to take a chance.

Plus, as Voodooo pointed out, minimal down time doing the swap.
