That vid doesn't do the GT350 justice. Sure it sounded better than the Z06 but was tame compared with the actual experience.

I was talking to a C7 Z06 owner the other day at the gas pump, even he said the exhaust sounds like crap compared to the GT350.

5 seconds was all I needed from that Z06, wow. Underwhelming exhaust note.

The sound of the LSx and LTx have never been a pleasing sound to me and I've had a few of them. I think it has to do with the firing order of 1-8-7-2-6-5-4. The Coyote has a 1-5-4-8-6-3-7 2 firing order that sounds much deeper and more like an american muscle car. The Voodoo takes it to a different level all together. With the flat plane crank and the 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2 firing order, the LT4 never stood a chance. Nothing sounds like the Voodoo.

I had my resonators removed and I never even listen to the audio system. I just get high from listening to the Voodoo engine!

The gt350/R is the best sounding car I've ever heard. It's love in the 1st degree.

True I agree... here's another perspective and a short comparison I did about a year ago. Just idling here.... my stock GT350 vs. stock C7 Z06. Even though the GT350 has a more exotic and subjectively a better overall exhaust sound, the LT4's exhaust has that musclecar cammed tone... which makes the 350's idle sound more tame. Both cars were in Track mode and warmed up for this clip...

I think my GT350 sounds more like your Z06. It has those slight mis-fire sounding bits that give it a little shake and interrupt the smooth idle that your GT350 had.

I feel that Ford has typically gone for a more musical exhaust note, where the airflow is very silent, and you hear mostly resonance.

GM on the other hand seems to have a "breathy" exhaust, where you can hear the airflow moving.

I have noticed this even several generations ago. I don't think it has as much to do with firing order but instead with the specific design and sound goals.

I personally have always preferred the sound of the Ford exhausts, but the Vette does sound good as well (just not as good, hehe).
