sheesh, i didnt even see your post above. but yeah pretty much my thoughts.

i've just always wondered when seeing lap times how one fan base could gloat their car is better based on 1 published time over another.

i wonder how bad pobst in a gt350r would beat me in a senna. best of 3 runs! :cwl:
Understand you are joking, but I would be very nervous driving a Senna. I think it's the first time ever I heard Randy say that he left some traction control on, "to take the edge off." He also said he was still getting used to the aero - meaning to me that even though he set a production car lap record he believes the car has a faster lap time in it. That car is a rocket ship headed off track unless you know what you are doing.

Life is too short to only own one car......
I am looking to add the GT350 to my stable next year, unfortunately still undecided if "R" or "non-R".....
Buy a 2019 or newer and get the 350. The Gap IMHO has been severely narrowed with the 19+ models. R gets you very expensive carbon wheels, 10mm wider tires, painted red calipers a rear seat delete and different interior color/ stitching. If you could find one with out the ADM the differences may be worth the 5-7k. but with ADM you are talking a 82K plus R vs a 65-67K MSRP (better deals to be found) GT350. If buying used and ADM out of the equation it' up to you and how you drive it. I don't think the R is worth the premium in performance. I'll never forget in 2016 seeing a GT350 selling in San Diego for 126K. NEVER PAY ADM. I bought a 2019 fully loaded for 55k OTD. 3 months old with 1k miles on it. ADM is a NO GO. Those 2016s now selling low 40s. My friend just bought a 2018 with 3k miles for 42 OTD.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
^Thanks for posting. His easy steering grip tells it all.

Yea, this isn't really relevant to the thread but I had to post this for anyone that hasn't seen it. Walter Rohl rally racing in the early 80's.
No DCT here. Just good footwork and a sequential shifter in his Audi Quattro S1. AMAZING!

Yeah, that's pretty f***ing amazing. Only slightly more incredible than the driving, is the giant nutsacks on the spectators :D

That always amazed me. He's basically driving at unbelievable speeds on the crappiest roads through a crowd of people!

1.08g on the skidpad? Holy smokes. When I was growing up, the E46 M3 was my dream car(no longer), and at the time it was touted as handled like it was on rails. The slalom on that was .87g. I think the GT350 is officially a sports car now with the cars it's constantly pitted up against.
Freaking Ford ZX2 S/R could hold .86g and that cost 16K lol
