I have to assume they run more than once...if this is the best one they can present....IDK. Start wasn't even close. 350 left late AND bogged.

Not at all surprised, you have to consider what is there on the line.

And then just to be fair they take both cars to Laguna Seca...

From 2500 - 2900 RPM, the Voodoo engine actually loses about 10 - 20 lb ft of torque before taking off at 3000 RPM. No surprises.

Who cares if the 350 left late or bogged, obvious out come is obvious. A blown s550 5.0 should be faster in a straight line and these 1/2 - 1 mile events are about trap speed at the end of those.

Taking cars to LS is one thing, how do they both do after a typical 20 minute session is the other.

The 350 is NOT a drag racer. That said, It has enough power to be. The trans ratios are great. It needs 4.56- 4.88 gears. those ratios do not exist for the Super 8.8. Watson offers a complete IRS rear based on the Ford 9" rear. Gear, tire and 7000 rpm launch = mid 10's

Not that it really matters, but there are 2 people in the GT350 and only 1 in the 5.0.

A passenger would make a difference but that 5.0 was prob taking it easy or had a terrible setup. My buddies '15 base 5.0 that's catless with full 3" exhaust, JLT intake and Tune from Shawn @ AED keeps up very well with my gt350, pretty much stays at my door til top of 4th. And that's only putting down around 430-440whp.

I have a supercharged '15 GT making 756HP at the wheels. I will be selling it when my '17 R arrives. In no way, am I expecting my new R to be anywhere the GT in a straight line. They are different cars...

It looked like the 350 was a Track Pack car....so after 20 minutes the 5.0 would be loosing horse power due to heat soak and the 350 would still be lapping it. Is that what you mean?;)

Keep both if you can.
I am keeping my Hellion TT auto and decided to also keep my "former on3" car after considering trade in .

I did trade in my 12 s197 car that has a snake bite TVS on a built engine/auto to get the GT350.

After driving the GT 350 for a week or two I knew I was going to miss a PD supercharged car.

I love the GT350,especialy the sound. Driving on the street it does not really wake up till after 3500 rpm but you learn to drive it keeping the rpm in that range. Above that.. watch out,it pulls like a freight train and I love specially how linear it pulls compared to the turbo cars. I tried 100 octane and wow it made a huge difference with the stock tune so cant want to try the flex tune with E85.

I however still miss the low rpm grunt of the TVS car, especially when it was a
manual.
I decided to keep my manual base that had the on3 kit(will be selling) build the bottom end and top it up with a 3.2 KB and will add long tubes for the sound.

I will have a mustang for every occasion, relaxed drag(hellion auto),Track(if I ever go)street(GT350),"stressed "drag/street(manual KB).
Lol
