I've tried searching and found conflicting reports about the GT350 and GT350R rear springs. Some say they are exactly the same and others say they are different. Does anyone know? I would like to upgrade my suspension to R but I don't want to spend money/install identical parts on my car.

I like to disassemble things.
They are different than all other S550 variants in that they are counter wound with respect to one another.

I don't care about other S550 variants. We are talking about GT350 and GT350R.

We know the front sway bar is identical.
We know the front springs are different.
We know the rear sway bar is different.
We know the rear springs have the same rate but are they the same?

I understand what you don't care about. Your question was ambiguous in that you stated "Some say they are exactly the same and others say they are different" but didn't specifically exclude anything, hence why I clarified.

If you would have asked if the rear spring rates between the R and the non-R GT350 were different I would have simply said "no." Beyond that, when you say "same" what specifically are you asking about? Free length? Coil diameter? Material properties?

Ok, are they the same springs?

They do have different part numbers than the non-R springs, which I would find odd if they are the same. The different part numbers, to me, indicate some difference between non-R and R rear springs.

Here are the part number tags on the R springs. Also note the unique pink markings on the R springs.

Your car should have tags on the springs - I'm not near my car and don't have a pic of the stock springs.

I have a 2016 GT350 Track Pack. The left and right rear springs have a tag that says "SV2", and have a brown paint dab. I took some pictures and will try to post them.
I can't see the left tag very well to read the part number. But the right spring tag has this part number: FR3V-5560-LE
I was under the impression that the Track Pack and R had the same suspension components. But I guess not.

From what I understand, they offer a slight drop over the standard 350 spring and 350 Track Spring. I installed R springs on my GT and they dropped the car about .6in front and .5in rear over the stock GT springs. I believe they offer about the same drop for a 350 going to R springs? I could be wrong but I think the R is 1" lower than a non-R, .5" due to the tire, and .5" due to the springs.
