the M4 could barely beat a GT PP on streets of willow with probst, a GT350 will easily defeat an M4 on the track. And it wont sound like a lawnmower doing it

I'm sure someone will eventually do M4 vs GT350 on track. With similar power, more torque, 300lbs less weight, and better weight distribution, I think the M4 will be much closer to a non-R GT350 than people think.

A stock M4 does not have the grip of the GT350 and has a realistic 60hp deficit. It breaks loose way too seasily and does not put the power down very well. A GT350 will destroy it on track.

just watch the side by side video in the M4 vs RCF Head 2 Head video and watch the steering input. Randy has to correct the M4 steering so much like hes sawing down a tree, where a big NA engine like in the RCF is much less drama. The RCF has an even bigger weight disparity weighing 4000# and .3 sec slower than the M. The lack of grip cost it precious time and this was in the hands of a pro driver. Imagine an ordinary driver trying to drive these hard.

Competition Package will arrive this summer too for 2017MY, expect a bump in power as well. could be over 450whp.

not so sure gt350 would walk on the track, at least in the straight line it is not walking m4.

Ok.

In a straight line I expect the Competition package M4 to walk the GT350. The standard car already beats it.

alright guys I am going to bed now, knowing

1. next time I ate a full meal and get into my car it will weight 4000lbs all together
2. a 34xx lb stripper 18'' 6mt m4 is possible
3. my gt350 is still an amazing car, sounds 100x better than m4
4. my possible next DD full size suv which is the jaguar f-pace is weighting in at 4000lbs, I will let the forum member here figure out that is with or without driver :)

5. Ford needs to seriously thinking about weight reduction, next 5, 3, series all uses 7 series' carbon core which is carbon fiber mixed with aluminum

good night and sweet dreams

One thing is for sure, this GT350 forum is a lesser-car-fanboy magnet

Nobody said an upper 3,400s to lower 3,500s M4 wasn't possible. We were just saying there's no way it's near 3,300. Like I said, within about 50lbs. of the 3,556 that C&D posted on the optioned out car. You were the one that was so adamant.

BMW definitely has more invested in weight savings, but that's a side effect of being based off of a premium brand base car. The GT350 is based on the same chassis as a $20,000 V6 Mustang, so it has a lot more to overcome. The GT350 is still much cooler though.

Curious as to why you are fretting about European weights on Euro cars compared to U.S. Weights on U.S. Manufactured cars. Do you live in Europe and have a GT350? If so, I did not think Ford was selling direct. It is feasible and highly likely that some Swiss dealers and Geiger in Munich, Germany were able to get a few.

When I lived in Europe I would only be concerned about gewicht (German) if looking at weight for the car. It is the laws of the country that dictate how the weight will be depicted for resale, not necessarily the manufacturer. If it was a U.Sc car sold in Germany, then the appropriate Lb to Kg conversion would occur and it would then be vergliech (same) standard as the Euro cars. I lived in Europe for 25 years and not once concerned myself about US pounds bs Kilograms if I bought a US car on the economy.

So, are you just creating a self induced angst based on you weighing more than 200 pounds after eating and the thought of going against an M4 is riling you up?

Just eat salad and then go cruising for the M4!

please man, just stop with this nonsense, either you are just denying hard cold and true fact, or you really are bad with math, that 3556lb m4 from c&d is with

$8150 for gigantic carbon-ceramic brakes with gold calipers.
black 19-inch wheels ($1200)
Sonoma Beige leather interior
$4000 Executive package (leather trim, head-up display, heated steering wheel, rearview camera, keyless access and start, a parking-assist system, headlamp washers, and satellite radio)
$1900 Lighting package
Adaptive M suspension ($1000),
a Harman/Kardon premium audio system ($875),
and enhanced Bluetooth and smartphone interfaces ($500)

take all those away, swtich to cloth seats which is base, change to 18'' you get 3300+ 10% fluid which is 3350 max. switch to 19'' base you get ~3400lb which is still 350lbs lighter than base gt350.

no one posts their stripper 18'' cloth seat m4 weight online cause probably no one ordered it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
You keep bringing up the Carbon brakes but they weigh less than the irons by quite a bit.

My buddy has a M4 and it came in right at 3550lbs with MT, premium package and the 19s. BMWUSA claims the car is 3530 lbs. This has been discussed ad nausea on the BMW forums, and it pretty much is agreed that the F8X cars are only 60lbs lighter than the E92.

My E92 M3 with aftermarket exhaust and VMR V810 flow formed wheels came right in @3597lbs and my car has a sunroof.

The weight of the GT350 is a little disappointment but it wears it well.
