Does anyone know of an off-the-shelf source for a matte black hood decal for the center portion of the GT350 hood? Basically looking for something that goes from the hood vent back to the bottom of the windshield area.

I checked with Big Worm, but unfortunately they don't currently have such a thing for our cars and I'm not located close enough to take them up on their offer to use my car as a template to develop one.

That should be relatively easy for any vinyl shop to do. Though I'm worried it would shift the GT350 towards looking like many sticker-edition muscle cars of yore.

In my case, it seems I'm positioned just right in the seat to get reflections off that domed part of the hood at certain times of the day. Since I have matte black stripes along the rocker of my car (similar to the original GT350 style rocker stripes) that are nearly invisible on my black paint, I thought this would be a good addition from both a function and aesthetic perspective.

You could also just try a piece of Xpel Stealth - the matte PPF film. Applying it to regular gloss paint gives the surface a matte finish, and you can easily remove it if you decide to.

Anyone located near Big Worm interested in taking their car in to serve as the prototype so that they could get the measurements and make this a regular offering?

Not sure where you are located in ILL, but these guys can provide what you want, probably better and at less cost than anyone.

If your interested, ask for Steve the owner, a really nice guy to work with. He has my patterns for size reference.
If you can drive your car to Lombard, they will do this while you wait, takes about 1 hour.
