My 18 was at a Toyota dealer. Guy traded it in for a limited edition Supra after buying it new 6 months prior.
I would suggest that this dealership purchased this GT350 at an auto auction back on May 6th and then put up for sale on May 11th.

Pretty easy.

Just check out the CARFAX history after which time that tells you a great deal.

Just because a 5 year old car has 465 miles that sounds fishy?

If it is a Lemon I suggest that an Oasis Report will detail all of the warranty work done on this car along with CARFAX documenting that as well.

I know from experience that Carfax can fool you... when I bought one of the Cobras the Carfax was clean. I happened to re-check it a few months after buying it and all of a sudden an accident from the previous owner appeared! I called Carfax and they said they continually ping for information and sometimes there's a long lag between an accident and it showing up on the report.

It is my understanding that the car is too old to be eligible for a ESP.
It can be purchased as a used vehicle ESP which is sold in 1 yr / 12k increments and starts from day of purchase (30 day grace period). Also requires an inspection from a Ford dealer prior to purchase (about 1 hour of labor).

I have extended my Ford ESP when it was running out (basically renewing it again) on several vehicles. Will be buying a new ESP for 8 yrs on my 2018 (only a year old) and then will extend it for another 5 (max you can do on a used ESP) for a total of 13 yrs coverage once the 8 runs out.

Here are some options for his 2016 with the standard $100 ded. Ignore the pricing, he can get it at cost through the guy I refer people to.

Just curious, have you personally had problems with a '16 Tech Pack 350 on the track?
Not me personally but multiple friends have. I have a track pack and can rag on it all day. I've personally seen cars go into limp mode on track and have spoken with people that traded their tech pack cars in for track packs and Rs because they've gone into limp mode on the street. I've driven my car in 100+F weather multiple times without even thinking twice about it.

Just giving my advice. You do you but think about it. How would you feel if you were driving your car, the weather got hot, and you have some really nice twisty backroads in front of you. Then after 10-15 minutes of fun, your $60k GT350 goes into limp mode.

And as far as breaking it in, it's still not broken in yet. So you'd be essentially breaking it in. And I wouldn't worry about no transmission or diff coolers. Like someone said, at the GT350 track attack, most of the cars are 2016's. And they are driven hard for about 20 laps every class. And do about 2 classes a week. I haven't heard anyone say the car had problems due to high trans or diff temperatures.
I would inquire as to the history of this car, and the previous owner, and base your decision to buy based on that.
The Track Attack cars are ALL Track Pack cars with the necessary coolers. 2016 Track Package has the coolers. 2016 Base and 2016 Tech Package do not. Tech Pack cars without coolers will not last on track with that kind of abuse.

I have driven my 2015 Tech Pack car in the hot desert and regularly shift it at over 7000 RPM and never had an issue.

After having been at Sebring and on the track with these cars I agree that road courses are not the place for Tech Pack cars but on the street spirited driving should not be an issue.

For what itā€™s worth, Iā€™ve never hit the 125 (degrees Celsius) on my ā€œactivatedā€ trans temp gauge. I have said it beforeā€¦Iā€™m sure it could happen if I was wringing my own car out like the Track Attack carā€¦but I donā€™t.

I thought car manufacturers' warranties start after the car is sold and not when it is built?
