Any one know if the GT 350 transmission(without the pump)will fit a GT?
I was looking to upgrade the MT82 in my manual KB car with a Magnum XL but this may be an alternative .
Especially if someone with a tech part upgrades to the transmission with pump and has one to sell.
I may be able to help you recoup the cost .
Alternatively I may just upgrade the one in my own tech pack GT 350 and get to "2 for the price of one " if I can reuse the non pump one in my GT:cheers:

Upgrade new USB hub for carplay part #

GJ7Z-19A387-B (WHITE BACKLIGHTING) or HC3Z-19A387-B (BLUE BACKLIGHTING)
Hey Hiz,
Disregard the PM if you see this first....

Is this the long awaited hub that allows for the sync 3 ver 2 upgrade?
If so, did you have to do anything to force the upgrade or was it automatic?

Looks like it's the hub that goes into the storage/arm rest, correct?

Did some searching, seems like it's an easy install with a small panel prying blade? Any tips?

Any info is greatly appreciated

Thanks!

I'll be re-using my tech trans ( and swapping in a pump trans to my gt350) when I start the news drivetrain build on my galaxie. ( going 5.2 CPC modular w/ tech trans from a TT Dart Block 306 & 4r70w).

I guess we'll see how she goes. The tremec in the gt350 isnt a high hp/torque trans. If it implodes on me, I'll end up going sequential ( to the tune of about 15 grand).

That is very interesting .I would love to follow that build and see how it works out.

I recently had an offer to buy a tech trans at a price I considered quite reasonable .
I am planning a trans swap when I swap in a CPC 5.2 block in to my KB car which now has non sleeved block and GT 350 heads. I was looking to do a Magnum but also considered a trans out of a GT 350.However by the time I added the cost of new drive shaft($1000) and GT 350 specific RXT clutch/MGW shifter ,it was more than the cost of a Magnum XL/drive shaft package which would allow me to use my current RXT with resplined discs .

I also feel the Magnum is likely to be stronger and have a higher torque capacity .

An alternative would be to "upgrade " the trans in my own GT350 like you are doing and reuse the tech trans (which will reduce the cost of buying).
I still think my GT 350 is the most fun street car I have ever had and had no plans to get into "tracking "-drag racing is expensive enough and I don't need an even more expensive hobby- so my my tech trans works for me as I use the car now so hard to justify the upgrade .

I think the GT 350 tech trans may be a good value for someone who is stayin NA and wants a better shifting trans compared to the MT 82.That way they may not need to buy an expensive aftermarket clutch/drive shaft although I am sure getting a stock OEM clutch/drive shaft is still going to be somewhat expensive .

Anyone got a pn for the tech/track pack front splitter ? If so, anyone know if it includes replacement hardware ? The bolt heads on mine are already ground off !
Same here i need the bolts and splitter too, mine the bolts are almost gone, i hope we find a way to protect the front splitter.

Tank hey man just saw this now, I have some updates regarding the hub part, Im sure you've already gotten yours by now, but go with the part# HU5Z-19A387-A many people later confirmed that was the one.

Update process is instantaneous, as soon as you plug the usb in it starts. Many people managed to get the hub out without any problems it did look easy  Im on android I won't be needing a hub :gossip:

Just got this ...

https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9601-G

A little disappointed FP does not spec Ford logo or branding on the part like they used to. Oh well, at least they are not pretending to present as they mfr the part. It is littereally the Air Raid box inside the FP box.

Did not install yet so will update if there are issues. Have not figured out how to attach images using mobile view yet so sorry about that.

I've been waiting 3wks for mine through my Ford dealer.

1) Is it a dry filter or oiled?

2) Is there an Airaid part number on it?

I think these are the Airaid numbers for both

Oiled 860-512 https://www.amazon.com/Airaid-860-512-Direct-Replacement-Premium/dp/B0056NQB3Q

Dry 863-399 https://www.amazon.com/Airaid-AIR-863-399-863-399-Air-Filter/dp/B006B80FL4/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1484892217&sr=1-1&keywords=AIRaid+863-399

The Airaid PN is 863-399, dry type. So you can save a few bucks vs using Ford but I'm a little eccentric so I went with the Ford repackaged because I could not verify the two were the same before ordering. But really because I'm only going with FP catalogue items if possible.

My filter is also dirty. Is it possible to just clean it ?

Depends on what the expected outcome is I suppose. Not what I will do.
