What's not in the video: have someone help that has small hands. My hands are big enough to have their own zip codes, and I had bruises on my arms for a week afterward from trying to force my hands into the small gaps that you have to reach into.

It's a difficult installation for someone with big hands.

The other thing is to put masking tape on the bottom of the car and mark the location of the transmission cross-member so you can get it back exactly into the position the factory installed it. If you don't, you can get misalignment that will cause noise and buzzing.

The other other thing is that the rubber boot is stiff as heck until you stretch it. Don't be gentle - work the thing until it softens up and goes where you want it.

The other other other thing is to make sure you adjust the 1-2 shift alignment according to the adjustment video on the website. The install video doesn't mention it, but it's critical.

The videos really do leave no surprises, which is nice. George has this shit down to an art, there is no guessing.

Skinny forearms are your friend.

If you’re planning on doing a resonator delete or driveshaft, now would be a reallllly good time to do that also.

I was thrown off a little by the reverse lockout video saying nine times out of 10 it is adjusted correctly. Apparently I was 10, but the video got me through it fine.

Since I had already dropped the exhaust, it wasn’t too bad to work on the shifter from below.

Would have liked printed instructions, but the video is undeniably thorough and excellent.

Its a technical install but I just completed my last week and while I am mechanically inclined, I am not wrenching much these days. As mentioned, the video is really thorough and then be sure to set the Reverse lockout. Front tow hook install is what killed me...

Mark where tranny's is now, because it will try to move. I just outlined it with a marker. Reverse lock out will need to be set so watch that video also. It is easier with two people

No, but I bought an OEM one to keep on the shelf. It was ~$75.

Just went to "the shelf" - FR3Z-7277-EA

There is a different P/N for the R version, due to the red stitching.

I haven’t watched those videos yet...but this does requires some stuff be done from underneath? Exhaust must be removed? I already have shifteck x-pipe, so that’s not the end of the world if so, but would rather not.

ShifTeck makes a three piece Alcantara kit. It’s nice!
