Is that with 3.73 gears doing almost 75 mph on 8000 rpm second gear?
Yes very near depending on tire choice, that is the virtue of time in gear. Being able to expand the RPM range to 7800-8000 rpm will transform the car on a road course and will allow it to drive like a much lighter car when coming out of corners. Being able to stay in a lower gear longer out performs a larger TQ base that is being forced to use a higher gear with a shorter power band. It does have its drawbacks as RPMs is what kills motors and clutches due to the higher vibrations and heat from increased friction.

I currently track a twin turbo Acura NSX with a redline of 8400 rpm and I can tell you RPMs are addicting on a road course, it is what is driving my choice for the 2015 GT as my new track toy because of the high RPM potential. Now as long as it is reliable it should prove to be a good decision.

Little teaser.

Very nice!

Do you think once car is all done you can do a video of 30-130mph through the gears, maybe even faster? Of course not the public road. ;)

What modifications exactly have you done to the engine to be reliable with such RPM's, you got a full list of all the engine work and power modifications?

Yes I will do that.

As for mods, the first post really sums it up.

Just Intake, Cams, Exhaust, Tune etc. with Billet Gears and an ATI Damper.

It's so smooth. I was thinking it would sound a little more "wound out" if that makes sense[?]

Very interested in the final costs, and of course, some eventual dyno numbers both to see what this kind of build can do, and also to get a sense of the HP-to-cost ratio.

BMR Tech In general, how do you think this type of build compares to a supercharger install in terms of time?

Assuming a Whipple or Roush or even a Centri option that's pretty plug-n-play and that the NA tuning has gotten sorted out to the point there's a good starting point (i.e., I realize this initial tuning with the GT350 IM, cams, etc., was a huge learning curve).

Impressive, so still stock oil pump, rod bearings and bolts?

You going to be beating on it like that daily to 8000rpm? If so keep us informed of reliability on it man. :)

Well, it spent a few hours between 6500-8000 RPM last weekend on the road course.

It spent alot of time on the rev limiter too. DOH!

Impressive Kelly, very impressive that essentially this is still a stock engine. :)
