If that’s the case then sounds to me like you have to find a different dealership man.

As much as it sucks to start the process again you have very little options here.

Your car does not sound normal, no way that thing should be ticking like that. Find another dealership.

Burned oil on dealership test drive of 200 miles. Approved for short block if it continues burning oil.. should I be happy with this? Tell me what you guys think.

Sounds like you’re good to go dude. Hopefully they established how much oil they mean by “if it continues burning oil”.

Keep driving that thing non stop all weekend so that it keeps burning oil. Hopefully next week you’ll be back st the dealership to drop it off for the new engine.

They are driving the car, seemed like they didn’t trust me. Boy am I going to be mad if they say oh it’s fine.

I’m not sure if that’s standard operating procedure for these cars or not. I’m sure someone who went through the oil test will chime in st some point.

If they finally are agreeing to drive the car to check it for oil burning I think you’re good to go.

This is the type of bullshit that is keeping me from buying one of these. I would have flipped out numerous times already if I was put in your position by a dealership.

I commend you for being so patient. Stay positive, I think you’re in the clear now.
