2016 GT350's - not sure, but I know they made at least 5,505 regular ones...

2017 GT350's - wonder if they're going to keep pace of 5000+/500, since they're sitting on showrooms unlike last year when they couldn't keep them in stock.

2015's only had 5 digits for the chassis numbers and it is my understanding that the R models did not have an "R" included in the chassis number.

I could be wrong but I thought the chassis numbers were "F0001 to F0037" for the 37 R models and from "F0038 to F0137" being the 50 Track and 50 Tech Pack car chassis numbers.

With respect to the 2016 cars I believe that "GR499" was the last R model built for the 2016MY. Keep in mind there were at least a couple of R models built such as "G0089" and G0091" that didn't have an "R" in the chassis number so that may change the total number of R's built.

Don't know much about the regular 2016 GT350 cars but looks like what you have listed for the regular cars as possibly being the last one built.

We can only speculate on the 2017MY production numbers but suggest much the same as 2016 but we all may be surprised by some different production numbers for either the regular cars or the R models.

I'm really surprised that people are still buying 2016's (or that they are still selling them at or above MSRP). But I guess it's all about where you live and what's available.

I feel fortunate to have found a 2017 in the EXACT color as one at a local dealer (who tried to gouge me for a USED 2016) for close to MSRP. I had to drive almost 400 miles but it was worth it for a '17 exactly the way I wanted it.

I thought my '15 GT was fun. This car is unbelievable.

I'd love to know how many GT350's have been built TOTAL between 2015 and now.

Well, they probably traded something of value back... like a 2017 allocation. As the other dealer probably wanted to a get a new car or had someone will to pay above MSRP to special order just the way they wanted it, etc. So they traded a 2016 GT350 for a 2017 GT350, even trade.

The dealers that sold their GT350's fast, got more allocations, and made a lot more money than the (dumb) dealers sitting on their cars.

Ex: A dealer can make more money on 2 cars at $5k ADM, than 1 car at $10k ADM, b/c there's the regular profit on the car at MSRP too. They also potentially create 2 loyal probably bigger $ customers vs. 1.
I tend to agree with those who sat on it, as 1 vehicle was promised to those smaller dealers who entered the program. With that said, the dealer who I purchased my car from was awarded 2 allocations at the last minute for myself and another customer. Ordered the car 3/4, Ford pulled the following Friday, built it on 4/12 and it was delivered a week later. Yet one local dealer who tried to rape me on a deal is still sitting on the tech package car they ordered.

Demand is still greater than supply.
Between the three Ford dealers closest to me, there are 8 GT350s and one R sitting on the lots. All were '16s, IIRC. At least one has been there since March.
I don't have to go very far to drool.

Newbie here looking to see if there are any updates on production totals 2016-17. I am in the market for a 17 or 18 and would love to see the breakdown by color and options.
