GT350 FORScan Tweaks

Just getting around to this stuff. Gonna order the OBDLInk MX Bluetooth tool. When I go to purchase it it offers me Ford enhanced add on for another $79. Do I need this? If not any good reason to get it?

The OBDLink software isn't needed to make the changes w Forscan. I'd familiarize myself w Forscan (which remains free of charge) and it's functionality and compare it to the features of the "Ford enhance" stuff before purchasing .

So i pretty much did all the changes i wanted to, the only thing is i cannot get the GT350R nav ani. to work.
I even resetted the module in Forscan, turned car on-off a few times, but still nothing.

Just to confirm -

APIM 7D0-02-01 5553 0902 C04D Red GT350R Nav Anim.

It worked on my '16 Tech pack. I also upgraded Sync to version 2.2 (manually, vs. over the wifi). But I think that code above works regardless of Sync version.

I did find in my F150 that the Sync upgrade exposed some new splash screens (eg. Ford Performance with Raptor logo).

Sorry you're having difficulties...You didn't mistakenly change the wrong line(s) of code? Did you record the original values ? If your able, go back and make the changes back and then do them one by one.

Also, you can check your original values by using this Motorcraft website:
https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt
Just plug in your VIN..

I'm now in Forscan, i have exact same configuration.

Just to be sure, last sequence is letter "C", zero, four, "D" right !
Line 7D0-02-02 reads :( 00DB) restore write

Correct, those are all zero's in that sequence. I checked the as built site, and the AB value for 7D0-02-01 is different from all the other values in the spreadsheet - different from the "gray" regular GT350 splash screen.

So does this mean i'm fuc$& !

I found out by removing the trans temp display, i got my drive modes back !!!!!!!

Here is what was originally programmed:

720-06-01 ( 7D6D ) ( 0664 ) ( 9C1E )

The main reason i got the OBD link is to be able to read trans temp with gauge mode !

Any help from the gurus would be appreciated. Thx

I changed it to to enable the trans temp only (since there is no diff sensor anyways):

720-06-01 7F6D 8664 9EA2 Trans Oil Temp Display

Yeah i'm sure everything was entered correctly on the right modules and lines.
I put everything back to stock values, it seems that when i change values for the trans temp display, it somehow block me from entering drive modes.

I entered stock trans temp values up a post and wondering if anyone can help out.
Ask me to put back a motor together, but this stuff. :headbonk:

You did something wrong MP. Start at square one and verify that each line of code is back to stock. If the issue exists I'm inclined to believe it is for some other reason beyond any attempts you made to alter anything.

Here is the correct format for the changes that need to be made. Only modify the values that are not x, those are just placeholders indicating no changes made.

720-06-01 xxxx 0xxx xxxx - Trans Temp Disabled
720-06-01 xxxx 8xxx xxxx - Trans Temp Enabled

So, for the case of [MENTION=7523]montreal ponies[/MENTION], the correct value should be:
[removed] - Trans Temp Enabled
[removed] - Trans Temp Disabled


Note: last 2 digits for all as-built codes are checksum values that FORScan will automatically calculate and correct if you leave them unmodified.

If your OEM value is the enable code listed above, to disable the sound symposer the correct value would be:
