Success! Many thanks to Epiphany, Tank, rb92gt and everyone else that contributed to this thread. I was able to enable my trans temp gauge and determine that I hit limp mode at about 275 degrees.

Broke down and ordered the OBDLink MX and BT dongle this evening.

I'll try and read up on all of this before they get here. For now, I think that all I really want to do is turn on the R splash screen.

I did forget to thank mattlqx so officially thanks Matt. Your car sounded awesome leaving the Buttonwillow Lemons race.

There is certainly some sort of toggle for this. They don't have separate flashes for the different cars, they just config the modules differently. Somebody just needs to poke around enough to find it.
Hey Matt,
I've spoken to Ford Performance about diff coolers for base/tech '15&'16s and been told a couple of times that the CANBUS in these cars do not support what's needed for the OEM diff coolers.

In the above post, you mention the cars "don't have seperate flashes" and I'm asking if this is consistent with what FP told me about the CANBUS? Or if they're completely unrelated concepts?

I'm also wondering why there is a Forscan code for the 16 Tech to have a diff temp displayed if the CANBUS doesn't support it?

Still trying to understand it all if you couldn't tell from my questions:lol:

As always, thanks for your help!

It can support it, it's just the base/tech cars have no diff sensor to read the temp.

Or wiring to support it all...thanks USMC0341.

Assuming you're correect, has anyone figured out the install on the diff cooler?

My question too. I've seen the Forscan change for the diff temp. I would think if we could figure out where the temp loom goes, we could plug it in. This likely has the pump wire too. At least I hope so.
The rear cover is an easy swap.

Some work has already been done- an example GT_Dave found there was no harness for the diff cooler for the Tech...I believe there's no wires for sensor or pump. My dealer's Parts guy was reluctant to give me info on part numbers for diff related parts, harnesses etc..

Also, parallel discussion on this in the cooler thread....

[Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with any of these discoveries and take credit for none of them. I am simply summarizing what a bunch of geniuses/heros came up with in the prior 23 pages of this thread and other threads. I am trying to make this specific for the GT350 here.]
1. Need laptop with windows operating system
2. Buy https://amzn.com/B006NZTZLQ OBDLinkMXBluetooth (best connection, wifi prone to disconnections)
If your windows computer does not have bluetooth, also buy https://amzn.com/B009ZIILLI
3. Download forscan http://forscan.org/download.html (to windows computer you will make mods with)
Choose "FORScan version 2.3.3 beta for Windows - free." Will need extended version to make modifications
4. Sign up for forum http://forscan.org/forum/ucp.php?mode=register
5. Wait for registration email from FORScan
6. Obtain extended license http://forscan.org/forum/extlic.php
7. Open FORScan and Click bottom Left "About" button to load license, when successful should read, "Extended License. Registered to..."
8. Plug OBDMX into port
9. Key On, Engine Off. Car should have a full battery and DO NOT let battery get below 11.4V, risk damage. I spent over an hour connected with no battery drain problems. If you have a goal of what you will modify before you connect to car it shouldn't take more than 15min from here on
10. Start forscan on windows computer with bluetooth
11. Click "connect to vehicle" at bottom
12. Click left "Configuration and Programming button"
13. Click on APIM, IPC, BdyCM, ACM (all AS BUILT) or RCM (not AS BUILT) depending what you want to modify:

RCM Enable/Disable Seatbelt minders (can also do it manually without needing FORScan, see below)
14. Hit play button on bottom to show codes in the category from step 13.
15. Make modifications to codes as desired (Write down your original codes in case you want to ever revert changes)
16. Click write. Follow instructions given to cycle "key on engine off" / "key off engine off" if needed.
17. Hit stop button on bottom.
You can also turn off/on the seatbelt minders per the owner's manual page 31 as follows: Key on engine off, then wait until seatbelt light turns off on dash. Once light goes out, wait 5 seconds, then slowly plug/unplug seatbelt three times. After the third time the light will come back on, then plug/unplug one more time. Seatbelt light will now flash to confirm. Repeat on other seat. Repeat to turn back on if desired.
For forscan detailed instructions with pictures (not GT350 specific): http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61773

This is great, but how do I load the extended license key? When I click load license, it takes me to the Forscan program file..now what do I do?
