I asked the same question. You are not modifying the ECM just config items that any dealer can do. It does not change the flash counter. So should not impact warranty.

I was just able to change the splash screen to the R version. The honking when the car is running was already off on my car as well as the Axle and trans temp displays. I also tunred off the sound enhancement. As soon as I stopped this procedure the radio rebooted. I saved the OEM config and now I have an 8/19 config saved.

I did need the free 60 days extedned license to make any changes in Windows. You cannot make changes in the Android version as far as I can tell. That is a "lite" version. Not sure if there is a full version for Android out there. My laptop is so light, does not really matter to me.

Great finds guys. We just need to find the one that allows the engine to start in loud mode and I'll be happy

Changed the splash screen and added the trans temp gauge this morning. Everything worked perfectly!

Not sure that's an option, given they have their own dedicated gauge.

I don't know- I've read that it's noise cancelling & also that it is sound enhancement... Whatever it is, I just want to be able to control what's coming through my speakers....

I suspect it is an electronic version of the S197 sound tube.

Received my OBD-MX module this morning, made the changes for the splash screen and trans temp gauge, it was easier than I expected.
I did have some issues getting the registration key loaded on my laptop, it would be nice to have some specific instructions for those that may have these problems and not much experience setting up the program.
I'm hooked, Now we need to find more tune-up items. Many thanks to those that are working on this.

Sorry for the late start in this thread guys but I'm currently in Prague on business and haven't had a chance to login for a while. What I would like to know and haven't found in the first 10 pages of the thread, so I figured I would just ask, is will this OBD-MX and the Forscan tool work on a 2015 Mustang GT. It doesn't have the PP or any other special options other than the 50th Anniversary Pkg., but I would like to see if there are any of these changes I could make to the car. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I fly home tomorrow, so if this will work, I'll get started on it when I get there. Thanks guys !!
