Dealers were sent a GT350 program enrollment form today. Basically, the dealer has to enroll by February 27 to be guaranteed an allocation. If they do enroll, they are guaranteed one allocation. My understanding is that the rest of the allocations will be based on mustang sales. However, the program is listed as being for the first 2 full model years, so I'm not sure if they will be guaranteed one allocation per year, or just one total. They have to pay $1,000 per year to enroll. Dealers will be allowed to transfer GT350's to another dealer that did enroll, but it implies that dealers who did not enroll cannot do this. Thought I would share.

I've been told they did something similar with the 13-14 GT500, but I'm not certain. I have no idea how they did allocations for the Bosses.

The fee is the same thing they did for the GT500. You didn't have to pay a fee to sell either version of the Boss. The plan is to make more than they did of the Boss. During the 2013 model year the dealer I bought mine from got seven regular and three of the LS. They also are a high volume Mustang dealer.

Yes, this has been done since 07 GT500 came out. As an example my local dealer whom I purchased my 07 from sells 100/150 mustangs per year, he had 4 allocations and I believe had four for 13's and 14's.

Big deal it's $1000, heck I would pay that for them just order one..I would love to fine a dealer that said .."Were not paying...we don't want any..they won't sell here"....I would give them the money and order a car..at least they would sell one !!

I am confused. I thought that Ford was going to build as many GT350s as were ordered. I had no concern that this car was going to limited production. What did I miss?

High initial demand and limited allocations. Things would improve year 2 onwards.

Guys ....I have great news for me, I just put a deposit down on a GT350 . I call 7 dealerships yesterday afternoon, asking to speak with the Sales manager/s, and then asking if they have a list started on the 2016 GT350 etc....One told me that "Ironically, one hour ago our FORD contact confirmed they will receive one allocation of the 2016 GT350, and (zero GT350R's)" I ask if I could put a deposit on that one, and get it at MSRP. He said yes, they do not do price mark-ups, they want all my business and my families business, and they wont get it by marking up a car. ( I love this guy ;) So I went down there this morning and put $1,000.00 down..Im so excite I can not sit down !!! One other dealership I contracted emailed me this morning saying I could put a deposit down and get on a new list ( I did not discuss MSRP)..I would be happy to share the name to anyone that is interested..its in the Dallas Area. Actually its about 50 miles outside of Dallas. I looked at a map of all the small towns (not to small) in the Dallas Area and started calling. Dallas Tx, in the city has to much money and everyone is on a list here.....

Remember the program guarantees at least one regular GT350 per dealer. Many dealers will most likely get multiple GT350 allocations so no need to worry yet. Of course greedy dealers will try to spin it as we're only getting one to customers.
