Does anyone know if they'll offer the performace pack with an automatic in the GT. They offer it for the ecoboost so they should for the GT as well.

Wouldn't it be nice to have the PP in auto, considering there are almost zero supercars (you know... cars that embody what a performance package is) that come with a stick shift and instead an automatic or automated manual of some kind?

Expecting it with the 2018s, especially if they go with the new 10 sp tranny.

This is a simple marketing decision by Ford US. All the export models come with (most of the) performance package as standard; no difference between manual and auto.
So if you want to buy one in, say, Germany and import it back to the US, that might be a solution!

I never understood why Ford didn't offer a Performance Package with the AT. Not that I'm buying an AT anytime soon, but I'm sure a lot of people out would.

Only reason they would is for AT people to brag about Brembo's as that seems to be the whole reason for many to have PP.... (exaggerating but don't think I'm that far off ;-) )

I finally concluded that they offered AT with EB is because they figured the EB HP was not enough to overheat the trans on the track.
Perhaps they will offer the GT/AT/PP combo for 2018 if they think the new 10spd trans will survive the track. Fingers crossed! (I like both AT and track time.)

They offered the PP with auto on the LE cars. I haven't heard of any tranny failures even if the sample size is very low. It is plain silly they didn't offer it across all GTs.
