i dont have blue oval glasses and i dont own a GT500. but i just "did my homework" and publicly posted a video that shows what everyone knows to be true in a straight line: 760HP DCT is gonna walk a 650HP 10 spd auto. did you watch the video? do you know the 1/4 trap speeds of each car? it aint even close, you're right lol.
He's still mad about not getting his gt500. So now he's been trolling.

Not mad at all. Actually I am very happy it worked out this way. I am going to be purchasing a much nicer and much higher build quality LC 500 with the same money. The LC 500 LOOKS BETTER, HAS A MUCH NICER INTERIOR, MUCH BETTER BUILD QUALITY, AND USES MUCH HIGHER END MATERIALS. Yes, the GT 500 is the better performance vehicle, no question. But that is the only category the GT 500 ACTUALLY BEATS the LC 500.

Yes I have seen this video. It is the only video or article where I have witnessed the GT 500 actually beating the Camaro. But keep in mind, this only 1. If you took the time to list ten videos or comparison track tests, you would find the Camaro beats the 350 or the 500 8 out of ten times, just look at the listed track times. Keep in mind, I own a GT 350 R, but I am also a realists. Ford missed a golden opportunity with the GT 500.

You don't sound happy. Why start a thread complaining about a car you'll never own? You're the same guy that cancelled his GT500 order because you were tired of dirty looks from your neighbors correct? Maybe the Camaro will help that problem? I think you should sell your 350 and give it a try!

just to be clear, i'm calling you out on your statement about straight line. around a track has more variables especially driver. i'm talking straight line, once tires are planted, and not a chance a zl1/zle will pull on a GT500. how about another? look at the trap speed, that tells me what i need to know...

I'm talking predominantly track and Lap times, which is what the GT 500 CFTP is supposed to be at $ 100,000.00, but the $ 25,000.00 cheaper zl11le with less HP and older tech, still beats the GT 500 CFTP on the track. I have seen videos of the SS Z71 beating the GT 500 in a straight line.

By the way, go check out the Throttle House video with randy post.

The AMG GTR Pro smokes them both.

Did I end the thread? Am I doing it right?

Those that like the Camaro will buy it and those that like the GT500 will buy it....regardless of perceived performance...the delta isn’t significant enough for money to dictate over preference, imo.

I think $ 20,000 to $ 25,000 is enough of a delta for anybody who understands the value of a dollar.

I do not agree when it comes to preference and love of cars. Cars are often an emotional purchase and logic doesn’t always come in to play.

I wouldn’t buy a Camaro for 25k less over the GT500 cftp. It’s ugly, imo and I do not find it appealing at all.

Also, 20-25k is probably not enough money to start with the ‘value of a dollar’ - but that also likely relates to how much money an individual has.

One thing I do agree with is - that for the amount of time they Ford took to develop the GT500 they should have been able to lighten it up and produce a car that bests the Camaro.

We'll with the extra $ 25,000 I can put solar panels on my roof or buy a second vehicle for hunting or even better put some money in my stock portfolio. That is where the GT 500 CFTP is way overpriced.

Especially for $ 100,000.00 for the CFTP.

Again they missed a golden opportunity. They also could have made some improvements so the GT 350 R would better the SS Z71.
