Not sure how significant that is. The total number of R's was in line with most years. The production woes for 19 made for significantly less total 350's built

2015 Total 137
2016 Total 6694
2017 Total 7115
2018 Total 4378
2019 Total 3595
2020 Total ?

The higher percentage of Rs in 2019 are a function of a lower overall reduction in the number of 350's. Since Rs tend to be built in the early spring months I am not surprised
I have to disagree with you about the 2019 R percentage numbers not being significant as the percentage of R's built for the 2019 MY was significant and confirmed an increased trend/interest for the R model over a regular GT350 for the 4 prior years.

Looking back at the 2016 MY only 8.5% of total production ended up being an R model and each subsequent year the R model percentage continued to escalate up to the 2019 MY whereby the percentage increased to 22.4% which is a significant increase when compared to the 2016 MY.

When the final 2020 MY numbers come out I am confident that percentage of R's will again increase beyond the 2019 MY numbers and expect the 2020 MY R model numbers to be ~25% of total production.

When comparing the % of R model production starting in 2016 which was only 8.5% and ending in 2020 which should come in around ~25% the numbers speak for themselves and clearly indicate a growing trend of interest for the R model over the 5 regular production years.

Yea, your looking from another direction then I was. I see where you are coming from. But 19 production was cut short

Agreed Tim, but the 2020 MY production certainly made up for the shorter 2019 MY with Mustang/Shelby's being built until December 2020.

Regarding the 2020 MY production numbers I just communicated with a friend at FP yesterday and was told that the final 2020 GT350/R production numbers will be available sometime in June or July.
What the f*ck? Why would they need to wait 1.5 years?

PP001 wrote that quote in March of ā€˜21, meaning they would be out in June or July of ā€˜21.

The numbers are late since October is almost over. Probably COVID and chip related, where the numbers arenā€™t top priority and so this year they did not release when they normally do.

I was going to ask a few days ago if anyone had any indication of when the 2020 numbers would be out. So this is good news. Waiting until October for the 2019 numbers seemed like an eternity.

Yep this one has been a long wait for us to finally put the last puzzle piece on the board to know the overall numbers.

Not sure how you compute 18 months when it has only been 10 months since the last cars were produced.

If I recall correctly this timeline is really no different than any previous years.

I completely forgot to read the date of the previous message I quoted. My bad, I thought it was more recent and misunderstood it as June/July of '22.

Thanks @Wildcardfox

I've been checking every single day since I got my Iconic R in April.

And every day I'm disappointed.

You and me both...the good news is I am learning patience during this wait.

So I see 2,180 total 2020 GT350s were made.
42 were Race Red.
15 of those came with white stripes.
Only 1 has the Recaro seats.....Mine. šŸ˜Š

Terrific information but my understanding is that there was 2817 GT350/R's in total built with 703 of that number being R models.

3) 2017 Total 7,115 - GT350 6,173; GT350R 942
4) 2018 Total 4,378 - GT350 3,745; GT350R 633
5) 2019 Total 3,595 - GT350 2,789; GT350R 806
6) 2020 Total 2,180 - GT350 1,613; GT350R 567
