I’ll ake the KR by then. Most guys will order a 100+ Z06, and a carbon GT500 will around there too, maybe more with the whore pricing?
I'll take the Z06
Looks like depending on the straights the GT350R is still faster on a road coarse than the base GT500. You have to step up to a 95 grand CFTP to get a road coarse warrior GT500.Hard to see paying $60K for a 350 when you can buy a C8 for the same. The 10K difference to move up to the GT 500 might make sense given the extra 265hp. The C8 and GT500 both seem to be bargains for what you get but the 350 and ZL1 just make no sense anymore.
I now stand by my original statement. The 350 is now been officially crushed by both the C8 and the GT 500 no more guessing. Test show the C8 base can out perform the 350 easily and the GT 500 now has run 10.66 right from the showroom bone stock and has over 700 to the wheels. If you can afford a 350 you can afford another $150 a month to move up to a GT 500. Given the cost and performance There will be way more buyers for the C8 and GT 500 than the out dated under performing 350. I know I am going to now hear the manual no manual crap but at 700 to the wheels and 10 sec passes out of the box I think most will survive with both hands on the wheel. Oh I I forgot all the flat plain crap too more like flat plain slow.
Depends on if you love automatic transmissions or not. Depends on if you like engines that can rev out. Depends on if you want back seats and a little head room.Hard to see paying $60K for a 350 when you can buy a C8 for the same. ZL1 1LE has gotten down to $62k, used market is even lower. Same with the GT350, used market is already in the 40s.Hard to see paying $60K for a 350 when you can buy a C8 for the same. - Manual optionHard to see paying $60K for a 350 when you can buy a C8 for the same.
I do enjoy it a great deal.Enjoy your 2016 GT
The c7 outperformed the GT350, at the same price tag the guy with small kids will end up picking the car with the back seatsHard to see paying $60K for a 350 when you can buy a C8 for the same. What you would rather own is really irrelevant to how all these cars perform and which one out performs another.ZL1 1LE has gotten down to $62k, used market is even lower. Same with the GT350, used market is already in the 40s.
Id rather have any of the cars mentioned above over a riced out yellow mustang.
These for sure are all valid to small sets of buyers but overall the person buying a performance car is going to go with the latest and greatest and by far that is not a 350.- Manual option
- More open cockpit / visibility
- Less convoluted ergonomics / interior design
- Far more interesting motor
- Rear "seats" in non-R model
- Better overall driver experience
Some of these may or may not apply to you personally, but they're perfectly valid reasons for some. If it's about just some objective performance metric like 0-60, sure, I guess, go buy the appliance you want.
The person buying a performance car is going to buy what they prefer. I by far prefer the GT350 over anything with an automatic. I will never even consider a C8 unless they add a manual transmission. These for sure are all valid to small sets of buyers but overall the person buying a performance car is going to go with the latest and greatest and by far that is not a 350.

The GT350 is entering the best time for buying now. There's plenty of supply so price negotiations are more possible. Also, there are used GT350s on the market for even cheaper prices.
I can't go to a local GM dealer and buy a C8. It might be another year before I can do that, thanks to the union. So, really NOBODY can buy a C8 yet. The C8 is still vapor.
As of today - no crushing is even possible.
But didnt even check the current and used prices of the GT350 and ZL1 (and ZL1 1LE)Hard to see paying $60K for a 350 when you can buy a C8 for the same.
