That's cause the c7 and below cater to older demographics. The c8 caters to my generation, the average age of ownership is about to go way down.
The thing is most people age 25-60 need or want more than 2 seats because they either have kids or envision themselves having kids somewhat soon and/or cant justify having a secondary 60k+ weekend fun car while saving for retirement. People below 25 usually cant afford a 60k car. I think thats why the demographic is retirement age, where they are set up financially and buy it as a non-daily driver and I think it may stay like that with the c8.

that Camaro back seat was a reason I didn’t buy another Camaro. Those back seats are useless.
I'm not seeing how the Mustang's is any better. Both cars are at most 3-seaters just as long as the co-pilot is short and scoots the seat all the way forward. Then somebody could be persuaded to sit behind, under duress. Nobody is sitting behind me (5'11) unless they are contortionist or amputee.

Kerbeck will take a 1000 refundable deposit right now, there selling at MSRP
The GT isnt the car most r comparing to the C8, its the GT350 which is right around the same price

A 1LT/Z51 will be around $63500-65000

I hope it’s not the same ones on here buying EBs and running 87 because 93 is too expensive.
People the world over "stretch" themselves into poor decisions all the time. Ford is counting on it. Last I checked the manual said 87 was just fine. In stop and go traffic, commuting to/fro work and not driving on public roads like 2-fast 2-die moron, shifting 1-3-5, etc. what's the point of 93 octane? I chipped mine and run 93 because gas is inconsequential cost for me.

Still doesn’t change the fact that people are crying about the GT because they can’t afford the gas or “insurance”. Yes they are going to run out and spend 70k+ along with another 10k+ interest on a 7 year loan on a C8.

Something doesn’t add up here.

I would take that bet. The reason old men drive Corvettes. Is because they have the most disposable income. They are at a point in their lives where the mortgage is paid. The kids are out of the house. And they can finally afford luxury items. Like high priced sports cars. Young people are starting families and buying houses later than ever. So the money just wont be there for them. When the average cost of a house is 2-300 grand. And the median family of four income is 64 grand a year. I don't see the Corvette main age demographic changing.

It will change. Reason 84+ month financing. Sign and Drive.

Do you think the average age of a GT350 is early/mid 60s.

Id be willing to bet its not. And the C8 starts about same as where the GT350 does.

If you people dont think a 60K starting price for a mid engine car previously reserved for 6 figure price tags is a gigantic deal you are about to get a reality check.

When 5.0 Mustangs and new Supras top 50k Id argue the base price of a V8 Mustang needs to go down by at least 10k. A fully loaded GT should be 45k max.

The back seats for the Mustang are surprisingly pretty good compared to some 2 door sports cars. My kid is 6 foot and he can fit pretty well back there compared to my Audi A5. In the camaro the driver seat was touching the back seat when I test drove it and I'm 5' 10". I'd say you get 3 extra inches in the Mustang compared to my Audi and the Camaro.

They're putting All season radials on the 60K base C8. All Seasons. Come on now. Only Grand Pa will be buying that 60K base with All Season Radials. My guess is that to see performance you'll have to spend another $10K

Cmon tires dont cost 10k..... Anyone with half a brain would buy a base and put tires on it themselves for what maybe 2 grand?

GM already said itll pull over 1g acceleration on all seasons too.

I swap my tires twice a year. Nokains for winter and Nittos for summer now that I finally got rid of the garbage PZeros.

10k for tires youve got to be kidding me.........

Obviously, I'm talking about the next package up, Z51, not the tires. Which will include real performance tires, wider wheels, better brakes, performance suspension, and etc. Just like the Mustang PP1 and PP2.

And 1 G is a joke. My Roush pulls like 1.06 with tires I dumped immediately.
