How exactly is it meaningless? Maybe cause the big bad LT2 can't even crack 80hp/l NA?
Most engine engineers and designers will tell you to expect

  • 70 - 80 hp / l for an OHV NA
  • 85 - 100 hp / l for a DOHC NA
  • 120 - 200 hp/l for a boosted DOHC
So Coyote and LT1 both fit within the parameters of expected output.

Because of it’s physical design (ie - the reason it’s called “Small Block”) the 6.2L LT1 and the 5.0L Coyote are practically the same physical size and weight. Remember, displacement is the size of the HOLES not the size of the METAL.

These C8 fanboys will get a reality check when it wont get anywhere near the 0-60 times they are BSing about. Under 3 seconds, yeah right.

Just a lot of lazy trolling. Then they run back and jack off blaqhole in pms. It’s kind of weird.

I just realized something that should have been public knowledge MONTHS ago.

Know what would drastically Ford right now?

When will they stop pussy footing around and dragging their ass with the GT500 info.

Good lord I mean CMON!! Give us some 1/4 mile times. Give us some weight info. Give us some 0-60 times. And would it be too much to ask for the freaking MSRP!!

Ford has already pissed off alot of people this car is at least 3 years too late. It should have been a 2018 MY at the very latest.

Ford needs to do something to try put out the media fire the C8 has made.

Maybe just maybe not everyone will jump ship LOL.

Yes I realize the GT500 is going to cost more than the Base C8 but the Base C8 is more aimed at the GT350.

Dont worry the C8s got something coming for the GT500 once the Z06 or ZR1 models come out.

Ford GT owners are going to be very upset when that ZR1 comes out.
No they won't. They have a limited edition supercar. That will accend in value. From almost the moment they buy it. The Corvette will lose 25% of its value. As soon as you drive it off the lot. There is more to this game than magazine numbers.

It's possible the C8 hitting 0-60 below 3 seconds is similar to Ford's claim the Mustang GT (2018+ with A10) can go sub 4 second. Probably, somewhere, someone occasionally can do it, but not the average owner, on average tires, etc. But, since all of the experts on here say the C8 can't do a sub-three second, it must not be possible. GM has probably never once tested it doing a sprint. I'm sure they have no idea what it can do....
