After adding all the bits most people are going to want on the C8, I bet its going to hit high 70's low 80k.

I don't think the GT350 is going to take a hit as much as the GT500. Manual being the sole reasoning. Plus we are looking at base model....things are about to get interesting. I'm wondering if the GT500 50K ADM guys are 2nd guessing themselves...lol. I'm sure 150K would buy the top dog Vette...lol.

490 hp 465 lb-ft for standard exhaust
495 hp 470 lb-ft for performance.
I'm more impressed with the Coyote 5.0L 92hp/L vs LT2 6.2L 79hp/L.

Ah yes, the meaningless metric of horsepower per liter.
How exactly is it meaningless? Maybe cause the big bad LT2 can't even crack 80hp/l NA?

A new C8 is only 60K?
Yep. Hell freezes over again. (The first time was when the new GT350R beat out all the high-buck cars in the the R&T 2016 performance car comparison)

Base model is a wash. What is more base than a base GT350?

I have never seen someone lose a race and blame it on the hp per liter metric. It's more of an engineering metric than an important car metric.

Yeah. Like most of us, when I get beat by a car with more HP but more cubic inches, I say "In yo face!"

Also why I drive my ATS 2.0 when I feel the need for speed. Monster puts out 136 hp per litre.

Mustang EB only makes 135 hp per liter. Another win for GM.

I don’t think that’s what’s happening. What appears to be happening is that a mid engine supercar is being offered at the same price as a high end Mustang and that’s making people think “hmmmm....maybe I can get one of those”. It’s like shopping for an Apple Watch and seeing that there’s a Tag Heuer available for the same price. A lot of people are gonna think about it.
This ^^^. But, it's almost more than "thinking hmmm." I can't see buying a loaded GT, a GT350, or an overpriced, ADM inflated GT500, a Supra, 718 cayman, Camaro, Challenger or the like when I have what appears, on paper, to be a slick, reasonably priced supercar within reach.

Agreed, even though I have two Tags and about 6 Citizens and wear an Apple Watch, lol.
