Man this thread title is misleading.

Im no GM fan but lets be honest EVERYTHING under 100k just got crushed by the C8.

That being said if people can really get into these for under 70K yes I know GM claims itlo be under 60K it will be swinging hard at cars well into the 6 figure range.

The hell with comparing it to a GT350 the biggest issue Ford has now is they waited too damn long for the GT500 and the C8 will likely cost less and dance circles around it.

Who wants a GT500 with 2015 headlights ROFL when you could have a nearly 500hp mid engine C8 Vette.

Answer: No one with half a brain that cares what each cost.

The GT500 surely may not be compareable on paper but if anyone thinks the C8 wont steal GT350 AND GT500 sales from Ford needs to go have their head checked.

The C8 will be a game changer at its price point period.

And even though I think the new Camaros and GM Pickups are absolutely vomit worthy the C8 looks Fanfappingtastic!! Especially in white!

GM just blew up the entire sports car segment. Yes Ill include 2 seaters and 4 seaters and everything under 100k.

Remember this is the base C8. Wait until the Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1 versions come out.

Ill go out on a limb right now and say GM will be swinging at McLaren with the ZR1 C8 or even higher if it gets a hybrid AWD version.

Im not even nut hugging here this is a real honest opinion IMO.

Fords fucked and again took at least 5 years too long to release a GT500.
The GT500 will crush the C8.
You are right about the next Corvette models coming in the next few years though. They are going to be great.
Oh one more thing. Ford is not fxxxxx.

GT500 Will absolutely decimate the c8 in a straight line , 1/4 mile, and any track that makes power useful. I honestly think my e85 tuned gt will beat a stock base c8 in a straight line.

Tuned GT beat a stock C8 in a straight line? LMFAO sorry bud I highly doubt it!

Ive got a 2018 A10 car too but my question to you is have you ever drove a mid engine car?

Itll take less HP to be just as fast in a mid engine car. Mind you ALL the C8s will have DCT transmissions.

Not a chance in hell a bolt on GT outruns a C8.

Just my 2 cents.

Mid engine acceleration advantage is only from a launch , and depends on tires too. From a roll mid engine makes no difference, only weight. We do need to know the weight of these new c8 but if they are 3500 or more I think they will lose to e85 tuned 18 a10's but I will love to try.

I dunno GM is going to sell an absolute shit ton of these and for that reason I have hope that EVERYSINGLE Ford dealer gets destroyed for trying to sell GT500s with absurd ADM.

Honestly IMO Ford dealers need a reality check and dont worry its coming thanks to the C8 LOLOLOL.!!
Agreed. They can shove that GT500 ADM up their asses. Complete joke.

No way in the world the C8 will do 0-60/0-100 in under 3 seconds. That is just BS.

Base C8 weight is 3366 dry weight.
Real life weight will be over 3500 pounds.

It only will in the right configuration, good temp and on a drag strip.

Ya think I have a 2018 A10....

And you mean the cars going 10s that are on bolton, tuned, wheel and tire and have suspension mods? LOL cmon man back to reality. The C8 will go 1g on all seasons. Why because its lighter and mid engine. Tuned C8 on tire will be just as fast or faster easily then itll absolutely stomp a GT Mustang on a road course.

3k of mods(pulley, tune etc) on the gt500 and you probably can hit 800 rwhp easy. thats not going to be easy for the c8

Are you delusional?! Weight matters ALL the time! Know what matters even more than weight? Balance!

Everysingle time you turn or stop or accelerate the Mid engine car will go it better given same apes to apples weight and Horsepower.

Man some of you need just as much of a reality check as the Ford dealers charging absurd ADM........ ROFL!!
