I just can't believe the power these cars are making today. Back in the day if a car ran a mid 13 to 14 it was fast. How things have changed. I can't believe insurance co aren't having problems with insuring these cars.

What does everybody think the real 1/4 mile #s will be for the C8 and the GT500. Let's see who gets the closest. Also Trap speed.

Acura NSX, Mid Engine, AWD, 570hp, but weighs 270lbs more and runs low 11's. So 11.1 at 125mph. Fastest "Sky Blue (Son that's a baby blue car) on the planet,

There are some pretty fast baby blue cars out there:

Caranddriver did 12 seconds flat with 3.7 sec 0-60 mph with a C7 Z51 manual trapping 117+ mph. If this C8 is capable of 0-60 under 3 seconds and the shifts are lightning quick, I m guessing 10.98 seconds to 11.2 range for a magazine test with 124+ mph trap speed. GT500 can do worse in the wrong hands with that much power, spinning tires my guess is low 11's with 125+ mph. With a good driver and proper tires, GT500 should be in the mid 10's trapping 130+ mph.

Here an example of a test fail in the wrong hands with a Shelby Super Snake 850 hp.

Last night I read that the GT350 will cost more than the GT500 and less will be made. Can any 350 experts confirm or debunk this. Not sure if they referring to the R or not.

Lol, yeah I know I'm just playing around. The gulf heritage mustang (beautiful) and Richard Petty's (Hideous) are both baby blue. The C8 I saw didn't pull it off. Didn't look as bad as the Richard Petty but still didn't look right. Needed some Stripes like the orange one's the Gulf has or the one you posted.

Their Hellcat did 12 second, lol. I know guys who take their hellcat to the track and get low 11's while playing it safe. But to be fair, the tunes on the blown aftermarket 2015+ Mustangs, combined with the MT82, have been horrible from companies like Roush and Shelby. I test drove a 2015 Richard Petty with a Roush blower (manual) and my 2018 Roush (A10) before I boosted it was faster. Part of that is the A10 but a huge part of that is the older Roush tunes. They have gotten better. They claim 10.88 on an unprepped track with their new tune and I can feel it for sure. It's a rocket ship compared to older ones I've been in.

That being said I don't believe Chevy's 3 sec 0-60 claim. There hasn't been an rear wheel American car live up to their bloated 0-60 claim that I can remember in real life in recent years. They're selling wolf tickets and people are lapping it up. Mustang can't do a sub 4 sec 0-60 either on the street but they claim sub 12 sec at the strip and you can do that so no one cares. Why hasn't chevy released a 1/4 mile time? Something you could actually verify at the strip and repeat? because they know people are stupid.

I suspect that nobody here is getting a C8, because they are all sold out...

The PLANT is sold out. Much of that is DEALER stock orders. From the plant’s perspective, everything they’re gonna build has been spoken for. By dealers, whether it is a dedicated order or a stock order.
Most dealers will reconfigure their stock order to whatever you want it to be. That’s how I ordered my first Vette way back when.

Has it occurred to you that they may have all been sold to M6G members?

But seriously, there is no way they are all sold out. I'll buy that the dealers have placed all orders the factory will accept at this point in time so they will have C8s to sell off the lot.

If there really were no more to be had, Chevy/dealers wouldn't continue the road shows at dealers everywhere (I'm going in 5 days). I mean, why risk angry crowds (many are invitation only due to Trump rally number levels) trashing your dealership when they find out.
