I believe the wheel is the same diameter measured side to side, but top to bottom slightly smaller due to the flat bottom. I’ll be able to verify tomorrow, my wheel is enroute.

Have mine in already and I love it! Same size as stock but its night and day, easily my favorite addition to this car other than gasoline
i thought the wheel was slightly smaller

The wheel is different in size. The flat bottom is elongated, the overall diameter is slightly smaller, and the grips at the top are thicker. I have a link to some measurements I took on page 1 in the very first post.

If you were to look at them side by side, or go for a drive after the install it visually is close to stock. Just longer and fatter where it matters :D

Got the whee all built and transferred. Looks fantastic. Then I broke the bolt... off to the parts department to track down a new bolt... grumble grumble

Got my wheel today! 1 day late from usps, But worth the wait. I have an Auto with extended paddle shifters. After watching 16P51-GT’s video on the install I knew they had to come off to remove the airbag. Mine were on so well I was afraid I’d brake the plastic shifters. So I dremeled a small chanel behind each one. Before I reinstalled I hit it with some black spray paint. You would never know. Wheel feels and looks great. Thank you 50Deep@DCTMS

Always something ain’t it. Which bolt did you break? The one that mounts the steering wheel to the column?
If it helps any, here is a picture of them side by side.

Appreciate that. Hell of an improvement

Very welcome brother. This is the first one I’ve seen on an automatic, and those paddles look good behind it.

Yep. Steering wheel mount bolt. It kept spinning fairly easily until the head sheared right off. Bought a removal tool. Parts department was closed and the local store had none. Hopefully today.

What’s the torque spec on that bolt? Thanks

Not sure, I just buzzed it a bit with the impact gun. I did a search and the ooooold mustang was 28 ft. lb. But if someone has the answer, that would be very useful.
