Cleaned my new car today and I noticed that the grills next to headlights only have a few clear openings.one side has 6 clear holes, and
The other side had 6 half openings, one side clear the other blocked.ive attached pics.is this normal, when I press on them there's no give to them,so I don't think it's just plastic flashing from the mold.it looks on purpose.do you all have same grill openings/closing.

The grill is probably only open where it needs air into the engine bay. Through the radiator and into the CAI. It reduces the turbulence of air getting in there and having a hard time getting out. Less turbulence, better mpg.

Thanks a lot.i did notice the clear opening was on the side with air intake.makes sense.the blockage makes it a little harder to clean.ill use a bigger brush next time.

Yeah. Ford closed up more of the GT350 grills for better performance. Everything is a trade-off or compromise. Lots of people open those up. Easiest way at least for '15-'17 is to grind thru from the back, that way you don't have to deal with individual holes or a rough appearance.

That opening on drivers side feeds the air filter box
I can’t see how opening them up would be anything less than an improvement unless your going light speed :)
