Mustang was fastest in a drag race, Focus won on the little track. Everyone agreed the Mustang is the much better car. Worth my Prime subscription just for that one episode. (Available at 11pm Thurs)

Thanks. Just to point out to the thieving sorts it's cheap enough to be on the ball. Really nice item on the GT40 .

I am excited to watch them jabber on about the cars when they drive them.

I sat in a focus RS for the first time today... I was pretty convinced that this could be a more practical version of a mustang, but everything feels a lot cheaper. The shifter is sloppy due to the linkage, the clutch pedal is a disaster, and the seat is too narrow for my American bum. I am now much happier with my choice!

I test drove one right after the Mustang. The RS was very, very easy to drive quickly and immediately felt very confident behind the wheel. Didn't have the excitement though of the V8 Mustang or the sense of drama.

Edit: God damn it, mine needs to hurry up and arrive.

The RS made the GT look sleek and svelte. Really, the Focus is fugly plus I've sat in one and it just feels like a shopping car.

Sure it goes but there is no sense of occasion.

Enjoyed this weeks episode. As they said, Mustang all day long over the RS. However they both had their arses handed to them by a Honda Civic (1.5 seconds faster than a Mustang), an M2 (3.5 seconds faster than the Mustang) and an M3 (5.5 seconds faster than the Mustang). Don't get me wrong, I love my Mustang - but until they start shaving a few kg's off the weight it'll always struggle on a track, especially a tight and twisty one. I reckon even a GT350R would struggle to match an M2 on that circuit. Didn't look good, 3 Fords at the bottom of the lap time board - and two of them are supposed to be their latest weapons. To be honest I thought the RS would be much further up, especially on a fairly narrow track with a lot of slow, tight corners.

I agree, it was a surprise the rally inspired 4wd focus wasn't way higher up the leaderboard:eyebulge: The mustang was never going to be any good on such a tight twisty track though:eek: M2/3 are more finely honed track machines, smaller with better weight distribution not to mention far more sophisticated in the technology department.

It's a good thing that we know is that after a few mods, the results can be quite different.:headbang:
